"Three Point Landing" Compilation
>> ^Asmo:
Pro-tip:When the concrete craters around the person/character leaving them unharmed, 'real world physics' has fucking nothing to do with the fantasy world they exist in... = P
It's just a flashy way to arrive for someone unconcerned with stealth (because a large crater making explosions is typically hard to cover up. Although in Spiderman's case, landing on 3 appendages is closer to the 8 most normal spiders would employ when jumping/landing.
Shouldn't Spiderman land on all 4 limbs then....?

Heavily-Modified Japanese Cars!
>> ^skinnydaddy1:
Why are people surprised about this? A country that could come up with something like the Mach 5, A Mech for Spiderman, Godzilla, Pokemon, Tentacle Hentai, Vans and trucks with enough lights to make the Vegas strip look dull and the Lap Pillow. This is by far one of the tamest things they have. If any civilization in the universe could take all the weirdness and bazaar shit they ever created or found and concentrated it in one spot it would still never match Japan.
Ya... North American car trends are COMPLETELY normal.

Total Recall (2012) - full trailer
Funny how these remakes/sequels/prequels/reboots/reimagainings do kind of give you a SENSE of having watched a classic but without any of the emotion or gravitas that made it remembered in the first place. A 23 year old girl told me she liked Singer's Star Trek 'because it wasn't like sci-fi'. I passed a bunch of middle aged women a while back and caught the words "..doctor manhattan.."
Modern marketing is reshaping, monetizing and pushing EVERYTHING that was interesting, exciting and cult, into a sort of vanilla paste to be squeezed into the minds of people who have less and less ideas about life but who vaguely know that these titles are remembered for decades for some reason.. it seems some extended cartoony dance-fight for the boys and some saccharine melodramatic romance for the girls is all you need to get in there.
The world is run by inheritees.
They can't be expected to know how great things were done by their forebears.
They do however own the show and are forced by their own need for self respect to believe they are entitled to make creative decisions WAY beyond them.
What are they going to do? Imitate and resell the past till its worth nothing. Anyone want to take this bet: spiderman reboot reboot reboot by 2020, Lawrence of Arabia with Robert pattinson by 2015, and on and on until we all kill ourselves.
As long as they do Krull with Samuel Jackson I'll go quietly.
Men In Black 3 - Trailer 2
To those of you who requiring evidence that Hollywood has given up entirely on new ideas, I present you you: Men In Black 3, featuring time travel.
...and the Spiderman reboot.
Ann Rice Interviewed on The Hour
Girlfriend read this book. It is so terrible it's beyond words. From the videos quote at the beginning, they'd be more accurate saying it's a "new take on the spiderman legend". I'd say it lampoons every aspect of a super-hero formula, except she's actually being serious.
Main character calls himself "Manwolf", works as a news reporter, boss gets wind of his super-hero persona and unknowingly orders him to investigate the phenomenon. He even saves a busload of children at one point (seriuosly).
It is BAAAAAAD. If you're looking for campy horror you'd be better off reading a Stephen King novel.
The Amazing Spider-Man - Trailer
>> ^Reefie:
Really? Oh dear... The first two Spiderman films were pretty damned decent, it was only the third one with that black goo stuff that spoiled the trilogy. Toby Maguire was perfectly cast for the role, he was almost exactly what I anticipated from the comics.
Next up: Lord of the Rings - Back to Middle Earth.
That "black goo stuff" gave us Carnage. Don't diss on the BGS just because you only got to meet Venom.
Just sayin'.
The Amazing Spider-Man - Trailer
Tobey McSuck was awful for this. If you look in the comics, he has no resemblance to spiderman at all.>> ^Reefie:

Yay for technological web shooters! It gives spiderman a much needed weakness that can situationally be raised.
Fail Compilation - January 2012
Forehead on brick wall at :31 gave me a headache. "Spiderman, dude" at 7:28 and guitar swing at 8:31 made me LOL. Pretty good compilation.
4 Guys And A Pole.
Spiderman is really tall.

NP. For what it's worth I really liked Italian Spiderman, but then again I guess this sort of humor is a "hate it or love it"-thing.

Thanks for the quality, I thought it would have done better as well...

How did this get so few votes, this is going to be the best sexy Nazi dinosaur movie ever!

Peter Schiff vs. Cornell West on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360
It's just so...sad how he repeatedly rewrites history to fit his twisted view. Free market ended child labor alone? hah!
It's insanity to not agree with dystopianfuturetoday on this. We've got record profits for corporations, all time low taxes for them. Where are the jobs....where are the jobs?
Can anyone fact check what schiff said to the protesters? It appears he's pretty obviously lying when he says gov't takes half of what he earns. but it would be nice to have something to fire back when people say shit like that.
But even if he is true. taxing the uber wealthy at 50 percent may not exactly be horrible. even at 50 percent they still live like sultans. They're still here in the USA. If the tax rate is so horrible, why haven't they left? History has shown that high tax rates don't necessarily kill jobs. Combine that with the history we're living right now that low taxes does NOT create jobs.
If someone pulls a gun on your spouse and says "if you take a step closer, I'll kill them" If you step forward, it's still the gunman's fault if they shoot them. That's what I think of every time a CEO says they might not hire anybody or start firing if they raise taxes. It's still their fault...their responsibility when they hold us hostage like that, not Gov't.
Basic Spiderman 101: With great power, comes great responsibility. And the CEOs have forgotten that.
