Puppy Determined To Get On Treadmill

A10anis says...

Is the owner lazy or does he/she just want to build up the muscles on an already intimidating fighting dog. ALL fighting dog breeds should be banned. And before you say; "It's the owner who makes them vicious, they are really cuddly, cute and so friendly," look at the figures on attacks by these breeds on adults/kids/dogs. Look at all the sickening videos. The latest statistic is the number of seeing eye dogs being attacked. There are 5 of these dogs in my area and ALL are a problem to people and other dogs. Their owners want them for the wrong reasons, reasons that are obvious. Of course any dog can be made violent, but these breeds have innate aggression, unpredictability, terrific strength and sheer tenacity. In the wrong hands they are lethal and, be honest, it is usually the wrong hands who own them. I have had three German Shepherds and currently have a Tamaskan (mighty Wolf) so please don't tell me I am anti-dog.

Dog really, really wants this big stick!

Pomeranian Puppy Vs Doberman

My friends wife has a Pomeranian about that big that plays with my German shepherds. It amazes me every time I see one of these "guard dogs" that can be so vicious when threatened are turned into powder puffs by these tiny dogs when they play. It's like seeing an 300 pound NFL lineman holding a baby. Just threateningly adorable.

To the bitter end.

kids that age should not be allowed near dogs. They pull, poke, prod etc. Then the parents wonder why the dog snaps...

Or the dog could just get up and walk away if it was bothered, which it clearly wasn't.

The video is short, maybe it did walk away. But, chances are, the kid would follow and the owner would allow it to. I have had 2 German shepherds (individually) and currently I have a Tamaskan(mighty wolf). I can assure you that they have, no matter how well trained, their moods. I never allowed my young kids - or any one elses - to pull, prod, torment, or stand on them (especially when the dog was sleeping). My point is simple. It's NOT worth the risk. There are innumerable reports of dogs just snapping and attacking kids and adults. In 99.9% of cases it is the owners, not the dogs fault. Why would anyone, in their right mind, take the chance of having their kid scarred for life(or worse), the dog put to sleep, and having to live the rest of their lives with the guilt. I'm sorry my response is a bit long winded but, sometimes, even the obvious needs pointing out.

The only thing "obvious" is that if you truly believe that is a real possibility, then you should not have those dogs to begin with. If they cannot be trusted, then don't worry about supervision, worry about why you are insistent on keeping them and maintaining a dangerous situation.

I am now done.

Had a beagle do that to me. Same park, more or less the same reaction. Her name was Baggage.

Dad took her off the lead, she spotted a deer in the twilight and went after it. Deer got away, I dont think there was ever any danger of it actually being caught but that fucking dog chased it well out of sight. Eventually we could no longer hear her barks. We spent a good hour or two going around the immediate area of the park making ourself hoarse until we lost the light, gave up and informed the park rangers.

We left the park and started walking home when we spotted a woman with two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Beagle also walking away from the park. We went over to talk to her and ask her if she'd seen a Beagle just like hers. Turns out it wasn't hers (surprise). She'd taken her wolfish German Shepherd off her lead so she could keep the fucking Beagle from shooting off again. Her dog was perfectly behaved, ours tried to eat anything and everything she could get her mouth around.

Much as I love Dogs I'm so glad we found a good owner for that Beagle not too long after. We inherited her from a sick relative, and with our rather pokey city living this mischievous stomach on legs was a little too much to handle.

If you're a dog owner then much respect. Amazing Animals but the time investment is monstrous.

How Big is the Galaxy?

OK, It does not help that I had a drink after trying to get one of my evil demon German Shepherds to go potty (when she said she'd rather kill the neighbors' little yappers - whatever tiny dogs they have.. I mean teeeeeeny.. but very yappy! Thank goodness we all have fenced yards!)

But anyway, thank you all for the pqueue visits. The upvotes. The nice comments and congrats. Everybody has been nice, and a drink or not, I feel loved And thanks Lucky for your extra nice words

I sift - therefore I am. Even if that's sporadically! Right now I will sift until my fingers turn into these little stubbly things, and that would not be pretty! OK, I will sift and use hand moisturizer until it turns ugly!

Not what you first think :o)
