I can only base my opinion on what I've seen via the internet and though experience with Ukrainian classmates.

One thing that struck me was when a Russian woman and I were talking about our Danish husbands and how nice Scandinavian men are in general. Some Ukrainian (and Bulgarian) women jumped in on the conversation and said Danish men don't act like "real men" and were too nice/emotional. I instantly loose respect for anyone who says how a real man (or women) is supposed to act.

We can see how specious many of the arguments about the US are when we apply them to Denmark: "The reason Danish Muslims underperform is because Danes oppress them."


I think this is an issue that depends on the numbers. Concealed carry weapons are rarely used in crimes, and likely save more lives in self-defense than the small number of lives they cost.

No, nothing will fix academic achievement gaps within our lifetime, and the same applies to Denmark's achievement gaps. If the Danish system worked better than the US system, then Denmark's mistreated Muslims would average as high as US Muslims, who average even above the White average.

@gwiz665 it's funny, but here in America, whether it's the left or right getting into power is largely the same. By Danish standards they're all fascists. Even the ones called "ultra-liberal" (who I vote for) are FAR more fascist than any Danish party, and even they want to make sure that the poor are kept suffering, as a human sacrifice to their Free Market Jesus.

That said, I'm still voting with my head. It seems like the best way to achieve the goals in my heart. Though it's a little easier for me to do that, since basically anyone even sorta left-wing with any credibility who runs for office does so as a member of the Democratic party.
