Sift and Tell (Talks Talk Post)

From my pq this is the one i'm most in love with right now, like paul4dirt there are far too many music vids I adore to choose one, so I went for:

http://www.videosift.com/video/Ben-Kingsley-as-Don-Logan-for-Live-Aid

I love it because it's making some of the best use of a character i've ever seen to promote a worthy cause, and also because I think the film (Sexy Beast) is immense and underrated and it shows just how versatile an actor Kingsley is.

Hard choice, I have so many movie clips I love in my sifted but by my own wanky rules I can't do both in the cinema channel In the end I had to go for this:
http://www.videosift.com/video/If-I-Were-Gay-Mike-And-Tim-Spaced

It's easily one of the best television programmes ever made and I adore the relationship between Tim and Mike. Also i'm deeply in love with the work of Stephen Lynch and I think that this comedy song by him lends itself perfectly to these clips

Islam - Empire Of Faith (Part I of 2)

Farhad2000 says...

Islam: Empire of Faith is narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley. The three-hour program tells the spectacular story of the great sweep of Islamic power and faith during its first 1,000 years from the birth of the Prophet Muhammed to the peak of the Ottoman Empire under the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent. Historical re-enactments and a remarkable exposition of Islamic art, artifacts and architecture are combined with interviews of scholars from around the world to recount the rise and importance of early Islamic civilization. Increasingly, scholars and historians are recognizing the profound impact that Islamic civilization has had on Western culture and the course of world history.

"Sexy Beast" - Great Moments in Cinema

Farhad2000 says...

Sexy Beast (2000) is a British film directed by Jonathan Glazer, starring Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane. It was Glazer's debut feature film, having previously been a director of music videos such as the acclaimed "Rabbit In Your Headlights" for British electronic group U.N.K.L.E., which features vocals by Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke.

That last bit should interest you all very deeply.

The film earned Kingsley an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. In 2004 the magazine Total Film named Sexy Beast the 15th greatest British film of all time.

Another favorite.
