I've trolled Freepers.* I've trolled liberals. I like to argue. I like long romantic walks on the beach. I feel satisfied in the conclusions I've come to, which is why I concluded that those conclusions were satisfyingly conclusive in the first place. I assume most people are satisfied with their own political beliefs, because otherwise they would feel the urge to find.... uh.... well... other, more satisfying beliefs. I am mocking you a little bit right now. I like to fuck around and insert humor into serious comments. I do care somewhat about how I fit into your subjective reality, because I like you, but I don't care if you consider me smug. I'm a little high. I am not motivated by the thrill of superiority, I just like to argue, and generally don't get to do it anywhere else but here. I have no respect at all for Bush republicans. I wouldn't call it hate, but reasonable people could disagree. I know I don't have universal support. I don't require universal support to speak my mind. I get notably less support when I speak about race. I'm OK with this.

*edit: truthfully, I didn't troll freepers proper. I trolled both liberal and conservative AOL chat rooms in the early oughties.

This whole debate is silly. Destroy the legal monopoly status of telco and cable companies and see what happens to them if they adopt a policy that is hostile to openness. I see your point, but in my opinion both the examples you use should never be used in a debate, or publicized. By anyone, no matter what viewpoint they are representing.
I see neither "fuck you!" or "fuck you and fuck your opinion" as arguments. They are meant purely to provoke, and bring nothing to a discussion. In that respect, I see Fitna as a giant "fuck you an fuck your opinions" with incredibly little rational discussion or debate. Bringing that into the public arena is an extreme lapse of judgement as it creates much more emotional harm than rational discussion.
While you may be technically right that Fitna can be considered as freedom of speech, I don't feel anything deserves that label if it doesn't take itself seriously enough to atleast compose its arguments in a rational manner.


But, once again it is in your opinion that they mean to provoke, that is why there is a Judicial system in place, to solve these conundrums. Hence the reason that Philidelphia supreme court protected David Hackbart right to give the bird to a citizen, and a peace officer, because he was expressing his distress with his current situation.

This is bringing up a video of Ken Jeong on Conan, not Letterman and some mysterious red button. AOL seems to use the same embed code for each day, and since the Letterman clip was #1 yesterday, we will probably see something new tomorrow.

Which is why I have no problem with CNN fact-checking SNL. Since so many people are getting their news through shows like SNL and TDS, it's important that someone separates news and comedy (though admittedly not AS important as some other things).

When the news is dense to the point of comedy, and the comedy is factual to the point of being news, we are in a steady decline.

The toe is broken. I keep walking on it though because I have an adult life to live and what not... I am not seeming to make it any better. I have started to tape it though.I went on my Sunday picture taking spree and seemed to have made it worse while hiking. Who would have thought?? I need a baby sitter for myself sometimes, apparently.
