I think, for more than a few Trump voters, they agree it was all disqualifying, that they're not racist, or sexist. They believe it's all "deplorable".
That just made it a better "fuck you".
I feel that's where the democrats went wrong. They thought the third party candidates were "protest votes", not realising that, in fact, Trump was the biggest protest vote of all.
