Okay, I gotcha. I always feel a little bit of guilt when I promote my own stuff. I don't know why. I"m indifferent to others doing it. And I've done it a multitude of times myself. But I'm not sure if I like self promotion being ingrained into submitting a video.
So, the video I posted the initial comment in, I had the power points ready to immediately promote it when I posted. After submitting the video, I then had to go to it to promote it in a separate comment. What I was suggesting, is something similar to the TAGS section or the CHANNEL section, where you could be either checking boxes that spend your power points on that video as you submit it, or have a field where you would type out a string like '*doublepromote *quality.'
I guess it would be more work than it is worth just to save some comment spam. I suppose it was more of an offhanded remark, because I do not actually see the effort being worth the payoff.
[edit] So it would not have to be anonymous, but it could be ?_? [/edit]

Like if we could promote Anonymously?

A little button would be fine. However, other people enter doublepromotes, qualities, or even frontpages. So the button would have to be versatile? Or there would just be an additional field, where if you wanted to you could enter whatever you were going to spend points on to call the action.
I feel like some videos or comments are not looked as favorably upon when there is a bunch of contentless/siftbot comments. Or even a few.

Like a little "promote" button? Without having to invoke anything?>> ^geo321:
What do you mean?

It would be cool if video submissions had a spot for power point privilege additions, without making a separate post.

Holy shit!
I did not mean for the embed to do that.
Is it fucking gigantic? Or is that only my browser?
It broke the site to where I cannot even click on edit to fix it! (and soon the editing window will pass)
ughh, my apologies, I will message Dag or Lucky in the morning.
Thanks for the alternate embed for that Futurama clip, I didn't set that embed myself as it is not the same as the original video I had posted. I can't find the original anymore unfortunately.... I swapped the embed with the one you sent.
