I think I haven't watched a QI sift in months now, there's constantly too many of them on the front page and so they've lost pretty much any appeal for me.

On the other hand, the votes do speak for themselves (other users) though. I just hope these are not cases in which people upvote w/o watching the clip, as in "c'mon, it must be good, it's Stephen Fry's QI". I hate it when people do that and unfortunately it's an increasing trend.

Pfft! Same as when it's cat videos, or when the election was on. EDD if you watched the clips, you'd know who was selling out and who was submitting quality. QI is amazing, it's hard to get a bad clip from there

It's nice to have a niche on here to be honest, makes it easier to compete with users who whore it around on funny or die, live leak or college humour

P.S. alien_concept: I KNOW and I AGREE QI's really good 99% of the time. And boy, do I like Stephen Fry. I just think there's too much of it being sifted I feel the same about Olbermann, TDS & Colbert Report, etc. I hate folks submitting popular stuff just for the sake of submitting it, even though a particular clip might be of sub-par quality when compared to other clips from the same source.

^ Yeah, when trends get like that it makes the place boring, but I will gladly have a QI trend over trends like that Spore videogame trend. That was terrible.

Ok EDD, i'm with ya, really I am. I hate it when everyone jumps onto a good thing too.

But I bet no-one is going to give mauz a hard time for submitting nearly every Attenborough clip known to man! Because it's quality stuff and it should be here, right? Right

And the thing is, if you find something that is really good, you want it in your sifted, we all want our sifted packed out with quality. I'm not going to deny that I want to have decent QI sifts in my arsenal. Especially seeing as British comedy (and music) is my bread and butter around here.

There are plenty of QI and indeed David Mitchell vids I haven't submitted because I don't find them funny. And I would never get pissed off with someone else taking up the helm. I do, as you do, wish people would stay true to what they love and not just submit for the sake of popularity.

But hey ho, like you said, the votes are what count when all is said and done, and if it's not enjoyable to enough people, then we all know where it's headed
