Siberian Fires Are Bigger Than All Other Fires Combined

Patrick Reevell reports from Siberia on the unprecedented spread of wildfires as officials attempt to battle the flames in a region that is typically one of the coldest places on Earth.

Record setting heat and drought have set the stage for Siberian wildfires that dwarf the record setting fires burning in the Western US, Canada, Turkey, and Greece COMBINED!

Siberia has no infrastructure and no way to fight fires of this magnitude.

Not having enough oil in your tractor to help put out the fire caused by climate change, of which the greatest contributor is 'transportation', has a certain irony to it.

The problem is it's not just morons. They're just the footsoldiers. There are a lot of greedy people out there who will pay a small fraction of their earnings to persuade an army of morons.

The greedy probably think their wealth might protect their children from the worst of what's to come. Unfortunately they're probably right.

Even worse is that you and I are probably a lot closer to the greedy people than we think. We both believe change is more than necessary, and that millions will die and billions will suffer, but neither of us are putting absolutely everything we have into fighting it.
