President Carter on Trump, Russia, and the Election
President Carter was considered the worst POTUS in a century?
To quote recently said words, "Wow pushing (a) clearly false narrative."
Total squat. Hardin was President inside the 100-year span (1921-23) and is considered one of the worst POTUS in US history. Carter isn't ever considered the worst POTUS since WWII (inside any valid polling).
Such calumny displays far more bitterness than anything seen here.
For a 'winner', y'all are hard to keep happy.
President Carter on Trump, Russia, and the Election
Duh, Bob. Your insecurities and ignorance are showing.
If the Russians interfered, clearly in favor of Trump, it's impossible that Trump won fair and square. Jebus fucking Christ. Trump won fair and square by cheating the system with illegal help from our enemies.
Carter still has more intelligence, honesty, and civility in his little toe nail than Trump's entire nepotistic family. He's also in better physical shape, Trump would die trying to do 1/4 the work Carter does daily. You forget, he was a nuclear submarine commander/designer. Trump at his best has never come close to Carter at his worst.
Also, Carter has nearly single handedly eradicated the guinea worm...hardly the work of the feeble. Name a humanitarian project Trump has been involved in that he not used as a personal piggy bank. You can't.
They started investigating and found interference for one candidate's benifit, granted they should have made it as public as the Clinton investigation that found nothing but Comey refused to mention it, since they found massive interference on behalf of Trump, Obama sanctioned Russia. Trump calls that investigation a witch hunt and illegally told Russia he would remove the sanctions day one (violating the Logan act, his messenger was convicted of that)....and has now publicly invited Russia to help him again, offering them a presidential shield from investigation or repercussions.
Trump lost the election by over 3million votes, but barely won the electoral college with foreign help he begged for during the campaign repeatedly, and has requested again.
Trump, and by extension you, are bitter "winners"....bitter because your win is illegitimate, and you know it.
Important POV from a feeble old man.
Russians did interfere and Obama administration knew it and did nothing to stop it.
Trump won fair and square.
Bitter losers
What song makes a girl smile?
I got most of these; If you're playing along at home:
Attempt 1: Clair de Lune (Claude Debussy)
Attempt 2: ??
Attempt 3: Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement (Beethoven)
Attempt 4: Harry Potter theme (John Williams)
Attempt 5: Pokemon theme (John Siegler)
Attempt 6: Flight of the Bumblebee (Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov)
Attempt 7: ??
Attempt 8: Russian National Anthem (Alexander Alexandrov)
Attempt 9: Get Along Gang theme (don't know who wrote this)
Attempt 10: Blue (Eiffel 65)
Attempt 11: Thomas the Tank Engine theme (Mike O'Donnell/Junior Campbell)
Attempt 12: Funeral March (Chopin) I'd be surprised/alarmed if she smiled at this (!)
Attempt 13: Jaws theme (Williams)
Attempt 14: Halloween theme (John Carpenter) this too (!)
And the winner..well, you know, a chick song from a chick movie, no wonder she smiles...
EA - They're not loot boxes, they're surprise mechanics
She's absolutely correct that the random collectible toy thing has been around for a long time. Baseball cards certainly count, or even the toys found in cereal boxes years ago. The difference is that physical toys can be traded with friends, or donated, or resold - they're a tangible good with actual, if minimal, value.
Loot in video games to me is comparable less to "surprise" toys, and more to... hrm. Maybe... playing bingo for non-transferable airfare tickets? There's a real, "fun" prize, that has value for the winner but only the winner, and only in a limited context, and if you don't win you leave with nothing of any value. Note that bingo along those lines would be considered gambling in most contexts (know it would be where I live, at any rate...).
The 7 Biggest Failures of Trumponomics
It's an extreme solution certainly, but not without merit. I doubt there'd ever be a willing acceptance of such a plan though, so a slightly more realistic solution would need to be moderated some. How's this for dystopian-but-not-quite-genocidal:
Worldwide lottery, a small percentage (total of 500M - 1B maybe) wins the right to live in what will be the new model of the world: something like what we have now, but with drastically reduced usage of non-renewable resources (until they can be replaced completely) and a target of zero negative impact on the environment as a whole. Still some version of democratic (generally at least), freedom of whatnot and such, open travel to the degree that sustainable transportation options allow, all the (again, sustainable) mod cons. I suppose different countries / regions could still run things according to their preferences, as long as the net-zero goal remains.
The other lottery entrants, the non-winners, don't need to die, hooray! They will however live on something akin to reservations, as serfs, without the right to further reproduce. These poor bastards, in exchange for not being outright murdered to save civilization, are to be consolidated into agricultural communes to do whatever they can to regrow the world's flora and fauna until they all eventually die. Their goal is not net-zero, but as far into the positive as possible. It would all be overseen according to some grand scheme(s) to be as beneficial for the overall future of humanity and life on Earth in general as possible.
Probably also unworkable, but preferable to megamurder?
A: Severe population control....preferably 30+ years ago. Today, it requires a massive cull and birth control. Maximum human population capped at 1 billion, preferably less.
The 7 Biggest Failures of Trumponomics
As I understand it, numerous states are changing their electoral rules so all their electoral college votes go to the winner of the national vote count. Not perfect, but it's a start.
They used to have poll tests. They were very effective at disenfranchising minority voters. I'm sure Trump and all the other racists in the GOP would LOVE to bring something like that back, especially since they're experts at twisting things like that to their own ends.
Yeah, it's probably a good idea, but it's really hard to stop people from twisting it to their own agenda, which is why it's illegal in the US.
Now, what I'm all for is balancing the vote to better represent population, so voters in the midwest don't have 10x the voting power of someone in Manhattan. And while we're at it, can we get some balance between generations? There's no way an average 80-90 year-old is as competent to decide the future direction of a country as an average 30-40 year-old, and the younger person has an eye on the future.
My Corvette is best Corvette
Because not Corvette.....winner!

Very Fine People On Both Sides, Lee Was The Best General
And the winner of World's Most Punchable Face for the third year in a row....Donny "Treason" Trump.
Unprecedented Partnership between Fox News and Trump
I want to preface this comment by saying that I am a political independent, and something that might help convince you of that is that I didn't vote for Donald Trump. The reason I didn't vote for him is because I had serious reservations about him considering what I knew about his character. Now that he is president I support him because I respect the office of the President and I pray for him just as I did for President Obama. That doesn't mean I agree with a lot of what he does, or that I am under any illusions about his character. It just means that I know God is working in these circumstances for a greater good.
I know a lot of Christians voted for Donald Trump because they knew he would side with them in the culture wars. And he has, to a large part. But that isn't the issue with me. I do not fight the culture wars even though I find abortion abhorrent and I lament the deepening darkness that pervades our culture. It is moral and spiritual darkness which will eventually lead to the one world government of the Antichrist.
My issue has to do with the church waking up, and stop thinking the solution is in fixing the culture because the culture is influencing the church more than the church is the culture. The solution is to get right with God and show the love of Christ to a lost and dying world.
So, here is the comment:
It's obvious that the entirety of news media is corrupt; if 2016 didn't make that obvious I don't know what would. They pick winners and losers, as supporters of Bernie Sanders realized. They all have a political agenda and will write either negative or positive coverage based on that agenda. They will present a certain slant to every issue which is favorable to their political aspirations. It is patently obvious and I think most of the country realizes this.
So, this outrage over Fox doing what every other news media company has done in the past, is pretty lame. Maybe Fox is better at it than MSNBC but the point is, they both function as the arm of their respective parties, and manipulate their media coverage to brainwash people into believing their worldview.

Delaware State Trooper Pulls Gun on Black Man For Speeding
ding ding winner winner
the "good cop v. bad cop" argument is always a red herring. the problem with police isn't what percent is good or what percent is bad. the management and oversight is broken from the top down and nothing is going to change without policy, management, and motivational changes first. the system is set up so good cops are incentivized to be bad cops and bad cops largely thrive. bigotry, violence, corruption, etc, is built into the whole methodology of policing in the US.

Trump Is Losing the Shutdown Fight: A Closer Look
If you think there are any winners in the shutdown fight, you are delusional.
