Two Female Teachers Teach 16-Year-Old Stud How to Threesome

00Scud00 says...

No it's not right, and while my immediate response to a gender reversal in this situation might be disgust I find that having thought about it over the years makes me more aware of the double standard it implies.
I agree that prohibitions against sex between minors and adults are right and necessary; but I can't help but wonder if we called it something that didn't involve the word rape if it would change how we think about it. Rape is a very incendiary word and I don't think it always accurately describes what is really going on in these situations. I understand that teens can't give consent under the law, but teens occupy a place where they are neither children or adults and it seems disingenuous to assume that they are utterly incapable of acting on their own.
I haven't seen the movie but 'The Diary of a Teenage Girl' (or read the graphic novel, or seen the play for that matter) but it sounds like it talks about the issue without the usual hysterics.

I would also agree with @lucky760, you didn't know that kid or any of the other people involved but you'll slap the victim label on him and expect it to stick, whether it's the truth or not.

I'm sure he thought it was great. I would have too when I was a teenager.

Still doesn't make it right, and if the genders were reversed, we'd all be disgusted.

Campus cops chase runaway driverless golf cart

newtboy says...

Why did he smash the window? The door was unlocked. He didn't even try to open it, and instead just decided 'smashey smashey'. And why did it take so long to turn the key off, or even just put it in neutral? Just so much fail going on here in every direction.

Who said people don't have a right to privacy? In an ideal world people would respect that right. But we don't live in an ideal world do we? So it makes sense to assess the risks and take precautions.

Look at it from another perspective. If I constantly leave my house unlocked with all the ground floor windows open when I go out, do I deserve to be robbed? No. But through my actions have I made it exponentially more likely that I'm going to be robbed? Yes. Does that mean the robber should get a lighter sentence if caught? No. Could I have easily prevented the crime from happening by taking basic precautions? Yes. Does that mean the crime is my fault? No. But was I naive to think that no one would ever rob my house? Absolutely, unless I happen to live alone on a deserted island!

It sucks what happened to her. It's not her fault. She deserves justice and I hope they catch the person who did it. The point of my previous post was that anybody taking naked pics of themselves these days--particularly digital ones--is exponentially increasing their risk of a humiliating exposure. That's the reality, whether you think it is "stupid" or not. If a person is not comfortable with that level of risk, they shouldn't engage in the behavior. This in no way implies that a person who has taken naked pics of themselves doesn't deserve justice if they are victimized. But it does imply that they are a bit naive (or haven't been paying attention to current events) if they thought there was little risk in taking naked pics of themselves and posting them online (as this person apparently did on her Facebook page) given the current security situation on the Internet.

Sorry, but that's a stupid argument. Just because we live in a digital world doesn't mean people have any less right to privacy.

Or do you think people whose emails are hacked should have used snail mail?
What about all those idiots who use online banking?

Stop blaming the victim.

Okay, now I'm a bit embarrassed that I started watching because of the thumbnail. She makes great points though.

I know most of you are well intentioned, but when you learn that a woman has been violated, I think the first response has always got to be sympathy; not to give her safety tips.

If her purse were stolen because she left it in an unlocked car, that might be an appropriate time to lead with safety tips. But not when a woman is humiliated or sexually assaulted. If you fail to condemn the crime but only criticize her level of caution, it comes off as misogynistic.

Yeonmi Park - North Korea's Black Market Generation

Jinx says...

NK is an exceptional case. Trade is great, capitalism has given us great prosperity and freedom. I won't argue that. I think it's great that the black market allows unlocked mobile phones to pass into NK (mostly through China, somewhat ironically) to give the people there a window into the outside world. The suggestion that trade should be completely free from restriction because North Korea restricts trade to keep it's population ignorant and servile is obviously ridiculous. Nuance plz...

Interestingly Kim Jong Il was said to be a big film fan. He even kidnapped people to create a NK film industry.

MS has a free Fresh Paint App, that's pretty cool if you have a stylus. Haven't found any others worth endorsing...

MS just wanted consistency between the Desktop OS, tablets, and smartphones. Unfortunately they forgot that people use desktops for production, not consumption. Windows 10 sounds more like Windows 8.2, but who knows.

As far as password, you could try to set a PIN instead (it's fast to type 4 digits to unlock). Or in desktop mode, right-click on Computer and choose Manage. Local Users and Groups snap-in will let you change password, etc.

Good metro apps are few and far in between, and the ones that do exist are usually gimped versions. It looks like it would be great with the tablet mode for general browsing, but really, without either iOS or Android's app ecosystem, the usefulness of a touchscreen is severely diminished. I don't believe it has Wacom-level precision for pen input (like Surface), which in itself would make it a great note taking device.

I don't like W8/8.1 on my desktop either, and regret upgrading from W7. For whatever reason I can't get access to user accounts settings (which has for some unknown reason been incorporated into Metro unlike virtually all other settings) because it crashes/hangs whenever I try to open it. So now I'm stuck with entering a password on my account each time I restart when I have absolutely no need to have one.
