World's Best Bartender

Much like the cotton candy guy in the top ten - stop it and gimmie what I ordered. Seriously if I'm thirsty I don't want to sit through a 3 minute performance before I get my food/drink. We really need to slap these minimum wage servants back to reality. I don't wanna see the monkey do tricks - I can hold down a job, family and house at once, nice work on juggling a bottle.

Injustice in the Coffee Contest. Is this video about Coffee or not? (User Poll by therealblankman)

kymbos says...

And this is the last time I will participate in a project of this kind. I am appalled and shocked and outraged and furious and thirsty and distracted.

That may be overstaing things. It may be true that I don't actually know what the contest is, but that there is something to do with coffee.

Thank you for your consideration.

"Little Bear Play With Water"

10 Misconceptions Debunked

ShakaUVM says...

>> ^Xaielao:

City tap water tastes like hell, and most bottled water (which more often than not IS tap water) contains salt to make you thirsty so you'll drink more. Don't believe me? Check that fancily named Dasani bottled water's ingredients. Makes me so glad I have a number of local springs that produce very high quality water that I get delivered monthly.

Uh, no. I actually have a mineral tester (Christmas present) for water. Bottled water is better than tap in terms of dissolved solids, and unless you think that bottled water companies are lying about the trace mineral contents in their water, the amounts are too small to matter. There's far more salt in Coke, or worse, V8 (http://www.livestrong.com/article/273911-sodium-levels-in-soft-drinks/).

The person making the video thinks that in "functioning democracies" the tap water is always safe to drink. Well yes, it is. On average. Unless you happen to live in a house that gets mud in the water supply, like a friend of mine, or my in-laws' house (guess who gave me the tester?) in Los Angeles where the tap water is light yellow, and fizzes. I only drink filtered or bottled water there.

Mitt Romney caught with millions stashed in offshore banks

shinyblurry says...

Did you even read what I said? I said people should use their wealth to do the Lords work and help the poor. God gives people material blessings to do those things, but many are enslaved to their love of money and don't do them. I know exactly what the word says about money, and my statement matches it precisely. I am not a republican nor am I a gung-ho capitalist. The early church was very socialist, in that the members all sold what they had and shared the proceeds with eachother as they needed. I support that, but I also recognize that in a fallen world, without the hand of God directly involved, socialism can very easily become totalitarian.

That isn't an indictment against money, it is an indictment against greed. God doesn't care if you have money, but He does care what you use it for. He made Solomon the richest person on the planet. I think those who are rich should be using their money for the Lords work and giving heartily to the poor, so I do not support the aquisition of wealth for wealths sake. I think that is sinful. However, that is their choice, and it is not up to me, but it is between them and God.

Typical christian, thinks he knows what his god wants but ignores what he says... Just think about how much good works those stashed millions could be doing for the poor. Dare I say it, the 'God' conservatives put so much stock in is a gasp socialist...

Joe Horn: Has Shotgun, Will Defend Neighbors (911 call)

longde says...

Essentially you are saying you support a blood-thirsty murderer over two property-coveting thieves. Whoopee.

>> ^rottenseed:

I don't feel bad about the two men that were shot, however, nobody's life was at risk so I can't really backup the guy that shot them. There is a chance, however, that he might be unaware of the well-being of his neighbors (ie, they might have been inside, injured, or incapacitated). Both parties took risks, if I had to measure which one's risk was for the right reasons, I'd lean toward the side of the shooter. It's not a pretty situation. Not all situations have a pretty solution.

"Hell is an invention to control people with fear"

What Jesus said is clear..Hell is a place of eternal punishment created for the devil and his angels, and anyone who wishes to follow in their ways. It is not an invention of the church, it is in scripture, clear as day.

Matthew 25:31-40

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Smart Cat and Faucet

jimnms says...

My cat discovered the wonders of fresh sink water and now will only drink from the sink. She gets in the sink when she's thirsty and I have to go turn it on for her. I went out of town for a week once and left her with my mom. When I got home, she was sick and I had to take her to the vet. She was dehydrated. I told my mom she would have to turn the sink, and she said she did "a couple of times."
