The song, The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve is actually about lead singer Richard Ashcroft's father dying of cancer.

A very moving song and completely inappropriate ... just shows that whatever idiot picked it for this video did it by name alone.

And yes, a potentially powerful message ruined by a cheap gag.
