Solo Sabotage Trailer

ChaosEngine says...

Well yeah... that's kinda the point. You do know this isn't the official trailer, right? That one's even worse.

If you're going to do a Han Solo movie without a time machine to bring back a young Harrison Ford... well, first off, just don't. It's a terrible idea.

But if you really feel a burning need to do so (like your shareholders saying how much money this will make), then this is a character piece.

The only reason to watch a Solo movie is to spend time with a character we love. The plot is pretty much irrelevant. Get him into trouble, have him meet Chewie and Lando, get the falcon, etc. and watch them get out of trouble. There's really no important story here.

But if whatisname nails young Han... no-one will care.

The fact that we're NOT seeing much of Han makes me deeply worried.

This trailer is crap. It's all SFX, not a single plot point to convey. Haven't we all seen enough SFX for a life time of visual "EXICITEMENT!!!"? As awesomely executed as these SFX shots are, I still think plot is king and these trailers/teasers do nothing for me, no mystery, no intrigue, no world-building.

Yep, let's face it.... The only reason to watch this is to see one of them make a complete mess of it and that man provided in style!

Then you for sure should not read the last book.
And if that fat ass dies off before he gets the series done I'm gonna dig his rotted corpse up and piss in his coffin. The last book was good but talk about a CLIFF HANGER! and now comes the 5 year wait and torture for being a fan. Maybe I'll just piss in his coffin for all the time he made me wait for the next book.

He is about the biggest (oh ha ha, hilarious reverse pun sir) reason I watch Game of Thrones. He is just wonderfully acerbic and hilarious in the role.

He's the only reason I watch...since they killed off the other reason. Which I will eventually beat someone to death for.

Ya know one of the things I study is Genocides and international justice. I don't want to watch all the good guys die in my fiction. It pisses me off because I think it's bullshit. You can't make fiction look like real life by just killing off people and then having DRAGONS!
Let me put it to you this way, I'm depressed most of the time...if that fat bearded mother fucker wants to make me depressed when I'm supposed to be enjoying nice stories it makes me want to kick his fat fucking ass into traffic. You can only push me with this violence soo far until I start trying to rescue characters!

I keep wondering about these videos... I'm not American and have no clue who all these political figures are, I guess the only reason I watch them is a combination of boredom and the comfort it gives me knowing right-winged opinions go hand in hand with hypocrisy pretty much where ever you are. What seems unique about the American situation (at least as it's portrayed by liberals) is that that hypocrisy is so obvious, it's so "in your face", every day I see these videos showing political leaders in scandals that I'd imagine would utterly discredit them and destroy their careers... As uninformed as I am about local politics I do get the impression that these things would carry more weight here, that when political figures are discredited in such obvious ways they would actually be discredited, people would not take them seriously...
This obviously doesn't solve the problem of having leaders who do a very good job of keeping their message consistent and representing their voters when the voters are mostly compiled of dumb/racist masses, but at least then you can wholeheartedly place the blame and frustration on the people themselves, their leaders simply being a manifestation of their idiocy. I realize that watching liberal media is hardly the best way of getting an honest and complete view of American politics but come on! by now my perception of the American Republican leaders is that they have the collective intelligence of a cockroach, do these morons actually represent Republican opinions? Republican morals? The world is fast becoming a scary place...
