I am so one of the few who thought the William Hurt movie version really got a lot of things right. I loved the style, the effects, the acting, the actors (leblanc takes some time to get used to. I did not like friends and he has a punchable mug). The only thing that fell apart was the last 3rd of the movie, the whole time travel going back to a mutant gary oldman spider creature was just so...unwanted. But the lighting, the way the ship looked, the way the suits were designed, awesome. There is very little I see that I like in this trailer.

So, when Sony made their deal to hand over the film rights to Spider-Man, they retained the villains? Heh, I guess they nearly have enough to make a Sinister Six movie and try to reproduce the magic of Suicide Squad.

Woah. . . I just did some googling and not only was Sony planning a Sinister Six movie, but Suicide Squad was profitable. fml

So, is he going to be a good guy? Maybe my Venom: Lethal Protector #1 comic book (which is the only comic book I own, don't know where I got it), will become worth something if they use that storyline. It's been 20 years since I read it, but I think the plot was pretty much "Hm, I think I'll try being a good guy for no obvious reason" and then he did Spider Man stuff like punching muggers and that was about it. I'm probably remembering it wrong.

People with arachnophobia are funny to me, because guys, that spider was objectively cute af, but nooo, you guys see 8 eyes and you lose your minds! Imagine if you will that someone walking down the street freaked the fuck out because of a puppy on a leash, like, climbing the walls and shouting to kill it with fire. That's what it looks like from an arachnophile's perspective.

Jumping Spiders are like the Border Collies of the arachnid world. But instead of jumping up on you and licking your face, they kill you in your sleep.
