I would welcome any Ron Paul Republican over an Obama Democrat any day. And, I don't thinking anyone is immune to indoctrination, but I wasn't speaking about partisan indoctrination. I was speaking of statist and social indoctrination. Status quo. What they refuse to teach you in civics class. Hell, not once do I think I ever had a real civics class. Praise allah there's a such thing as being an autodidact.

And, yes, nationalized healthcare is compulsory. Thanks for admitting that. So, how is it using "fear" to coerce people if I'm calling a spade a spade? Conversely, I think it's dubious to dodge that it's compulsory. Regardless, the intention of the *fear channel was to go against our innate fear of each other, of trusting each other, and of allowing each of us to make decisions for ourselves... and that extends to nationalized healthcare.

I know you and NetRunner don't see it, but you're wrong to tell me what I need to do to take care of myself. It demonstrates arrogance to think you know best for those of us too stupid to make our own decisions. I don't believe in fear (passion) to persuade. I believe in reason. And I believe in being persuasive with words to convince people, not by using force and violence. Heheh.. Well the summers are wonderful here. Nicest summer weather we've ever experienced.

When they keep coming in the house saying they have nothing to do. It's occurring to me that they're not pretending. Ever. I tell them to GO OUTSIDE, RUN, PLAY BALL, GET IN THE SPRINKLER, RIDE BIKES, MAKE UP GAMES, PRETEND, PLAY!!!!!

I've even bought them various balls, bats and the biggest water gun cannons I've ever seen. Really, I strapped one on and walked around the yard like Ripley approaching the Alien Queen. I just hope the kids doesn't repeat what I was saying. You know.. the "Get away from her you bitch" line. My hubby enjoyed it though

They all hang around wanting to come in play video games. They'll even mope about after I kick them back outside. I can't tell you how many times I've had to 'prime' their imaginations with a make believe scenario.

As long as they'll pick a videogame console instead of a game or a book, then I know I'm doing the right thing.

Winter will come and time for tv, videogames and warm snuggle blankets will return.

No, my husband will not give up the xbox. I guess we'll all get together for movies and/or guitar hero or something. But that's ok as a group I think. Not like the kids do when they're plugged in and zoned out alone in their rooms.
