PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games - Robot Skiing
I was all ready to put down some snarky comment or drag out a "welcome our overlords" thing, but then I noticed something.
They all ski better than I do.
Skiing Everything But Snow
On the pumice slope you can practically see his skis getting thinner.
Skiing Everything But Snow
Thovex.... that dude is a madman. I swear, he's not even human. Just insanely talented.

Also, clearly a man who doesn't pay for his own skis
Skiing Everything But Snow
Even more impressive than his skillful skiing is his ability to instantaneously teleport himself to various locations around the world...

I take all that to heart.
In my native language and for me any woman under my age is a girl AND any man or woman taking part in sports and games is a boy or girl. They would be greeted and befriended in a much less formal manner than, for example during an opera performance intermission in the theatre hallway or in a workplace setting. For me girls running around on skis with guns are girls, I dont think of them as world class athletes but as ordinary people doing something enjoyable and rewarding.
I have trouble being entirely serene in the face of political correctness, so do feel free to correct my errors if I am found wanting in this area, even if I sometimes may appear to not take things seriously. Just a disclaimer.
"Edit this video" is now hidden in a menu that appears when you hover over your name above your video (Eric told me). Thanks.
Ah! Excuse me for being vague.
Girl is a young person. Age 17 or less.
A woman is a world class athlete.
If you want to fix it, look for the words "edit this video" underneath the video, bottom left.
Click on that and you can fix your description. If you want to.
Nice show of sportswomanship
Please excuse my English, how? Is it just the apostrophe? Apostrophes on a Czech keyboard are a pain. Also, I humbly admit, I have no idea how to edit that text now :-(
And she definitely let the other girl go, also I am not aware of any tradition of this happening regularly in biathlon or cross-country skiing when sticks break or are lost due to contact.
fix that "one girl steps on another girl's stick"

are ski brakes not a thing anymore?
He's incredibly lucky.
If his bindings were so loose that he lost a ski flopping over like that, there's no way he would have made it down anyway. Better to fail at 5 mph in powder than 50+ over a cliff.
Also, what kind of back country skier can't ski with just one ski? I could before I was 10.

Weightless - Paragliding Proximity Perfection
Amazing video, some of that looks super dangerous, like if he got a foot caught on that crane or if the two gliders got their chutes tangled.
Those ski runs look sooooo fun!
The poor man's selfie drone
Hadn't seen this before, but I disagree.
A friend of mine earns less than $10000 a year, but he travels the world skiing (well, splitboarding actually, but same thing). He buys the cheapest bulk food he can, and lives in a tent most of the year.
You'd be amazed what you can do if you decide to put your passion before literally everything else.
Nobody is going to comment on the title? Nobody who skies like this is truly a "poor man." Not having a lot of money is not the same as being poor.
Just sayin'.
Watch, Mom!
If she can line them up like the Ski Ball games then that is some Cirque du Soleil level sex right there.
No. Well, I was trying to throw balls into one of the three holes (not hers, you perverts) to get tickets and free prizes.
