A teens introduction to an LP record
Shes pretty young... I can believe it if she pretty much stick to her sparkly vampire shows. But I can understand how it is such a reach when we still see records in use in both classic movies and new movies alike that any teen who watches movies has seen atleast.
35 here, in my day records were on their way out and tape was the main stay. I was big on audio quality not to mention the ability to start a record where ever I wanted so I still bought them, but had many tapes as well. The stereo I had gotten from my parents had an 8 track built in so I was familure with it, but it didn't interest me in the least. It's amazing it was a medium that caught on considering the low number of tracks per tape and you pretty much need to perform your songs to the same length in time.
id like to say I was an early adopter of cd but I had very little money, my first step into the cd world was actually when I got the sega cd. That's when I started buying cd albums.
Happy 10th anniversay you failed Sega Dreamcast
My parents sold my Dreamcast while i was away at college.
My game library included:
Marvel vs Capcom << toss up for personal favorite House of the Dead 2
Powerstone << toss up for personal favorite and NFK 2K Blitz
A few others that I dont remember fondly but the system on the whole was great. But they are right on about the SEGA burning their customers. 32X was shit, SEGA CD was shit, and Saturn, looked promising but then it along with the games for it disappeared. I won my Dreamcast at a carnival (i know right?) but it had been out for about 6 months at that point and I was again burned when they announced they would no longer be developing for the system.
damn you SEGA---DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!
Japanese model clears World 1-1 without looking at screen
She has a Sega CD. What a loser! lol

Hey, you're welcome! Always happy to celebrate the accomplishments of our dedicated sifters.
You know, I actually still have my Sega CD... And I think I've got about 3 games for it. One of those childhood-rivalry-must-have deals. It's actually that bad.

The 49 Best Sequel-Less Games (Videogames Talk Post)
>> ^dag:
They missed that incredibly great game from the early 90s called "way out" or "out there" or something like that.
The one where the guy is transported to a parallel world and befriends an ape that helps him on his journey. Kind of a side-scroller, but with a lot of style and fun.
Are you thinking of "Out of This World"? (aka "Another World") That game did have a sequel: Heart of the Alien, for the Sega CD.
"3- Beyond Good & Evil: Now getting a sequel. Busted off the list."
That was announced May 2008, about a year after this article was written, I suspect.
Top Ten Worst Game Consoles
I personally loved many of the Sega CD and 32X games. Yeah, the add ons did fail pretty badly, but the games weren't too shabby. (Well, not all of them . . .)
Top Ten Worst Game Consoles
One correction. The 32X was not "another CD based machine". It used cartridges. And a few of them were actually fairly decent, but a few was definitely not worth the price of admission.
Funny to think of my old Genesis. By the time you got the Sega CD and 32X on there, it was as big as a space station.
Sega CD Suckage: Night Trap
Sega cd was the beginning of the end foe sega as a console manufacture. They followed it up with the 32x another huge blunder.
