Donna Brazile: HRC controlled DNC and rigged the primary
I'm not at all convinced of that (Clinton's political career being over).
It would be the sane response. And yet, clearly the DNC (and US politics in general) aren't reined in by trivialities like sanity. I think that unless the fickle public gets really riled up over this, the DNC would swing just as hard for Clinton or some other corporate-friendly type over anybody like Sanders or Warren in 2020.
Sanders being an Independent in the Senate was held against him hard by party bigwigs. Somewhat understandably. That being said, Sanders' brand of "Independent" was/is a fantastic guide to what the Democrat party should be working to become.
Politics is all bullshit, all the time. As a result, a huge percentage of voters are quite disenfranchised and don't really see any candidate as being on their side. Sanders turned that on its head. And old, rather-eccentric, Jewish dude got people excited (me too!). Massive gold-plated opportunity, with giant fucking neon signs pointing at it saying "pounce on this NOW", and the DNC took a big shit on it instead because they can't fathom a world without being 99.9% funded by massive corporations in return for congressmen, vetoes, and judges being bought and paid for.
I think that's what the guy is talking about with regards to "taking over the party". The "Justice Democrats" thing is about progressive candidates funded by actual goddamn people instead of laundered corporate money. I'm not real optimistic about their chances of really shaking up the status quo, but by god I sure hope they do.

Clinton's political career is over, I hope all Clintons...

Because the window will stop him...
So now I am curious about this, based on the title.
So they have these safari parks right, where you drive your own car between the animals. So based on that I would imagine the car would be safe from lions.
But when I just think about it, and about how much stronger such animals are than humans, I would expect the window to break if a lion pounces at it. It would shatter of course, so it would immediately confuse a big predator, but if it is dedicated enough to get really angry at the driver (maybe if the car stereo would be blaring Britney Spears or something like that, really pissing of the lion), that car window would only be a very minor stoppage for the lion's attack?
Cat Vs. Optical Illusions
"I do not understand this! I will kill it!" *pounce pounce pounce*
Never turn your back on a cat...
Just practicing their hunting skills, gotta keep them sharp.
You can play peek-a-boo with any house cat, mine never pounces with claws or teeth, she's just play hunting. If I do the same with a toy, she'll ravage it to "death".
They do the same to each other when playing quite often.

Bronze is sufficient actually. You just need to declare it *dead, and wait 2 days until it goes from dead to deadpool, then you can put in the fix from the deadpool.

Of course, in this case, @eric3579 has already fixed it... that's the other way to fix it if the toaster won't listen to you - put in a comment and wait for one of us to pounce on it
An interesting take on an iconic song from a huge band. I was a bit too young for the original but Orgy's cover led me to discover New Order
I tried to fix the embed for their video already posted on here, sadly my new Bronze power is too weak!

Is the Universe a Computer Simulation?
I don't understand this desire to try and "one up" scientific thought, as if the concept of a demiurge were religion's alone. It's not for man to decide what is truth and what is not, it is for us to discover only that which we may mechanically use, whether through ystem theories, mathematic constructs, or physically engineered structures.
Science may be harmonious but only if it is honest and seeks only that which is not fueled by attachment to being. Any reward, whether in heaven or on earth is a materialistic concept which separates us from the body of human experience. Rather than naturally progress within our own capabilities, we obsess over grand concepts of our narcissistic, non transitory being and the entity of of a God. Meanwhile, our minds suffer at the leaps and bounds that imagination inflicts upon our honest beings. Behavior modification for the sake of a concept you would seek to elevate over the hard earned work of the scientific process.
Again, I don't understand why you pounce on these sudden epiphany driven straws lying amidst a rigorously disciplined field as the sciences. You have straws with no tangible truth, only the ability to prove that, yes, you are a pattern detecting being. I can find a 1000 faces of a 1000 gods in a spackled piece of drywall, don't mean any one of them is real or if any were, that it's the god that I've put a name to.
Now for a lesson in system analysis: determining whether the pattern you've detected within a metaphysical concept is congruent with reality as we know it, or have you detected a false positive. Also known as the proof between a Christian God and every other concept of the concept of God, through all its faces back to its ultimate being: Infinity. The Infinity could be ANYTHING.
That's speculation, but it would mean intelligent design is a scientific theory. You're seemingly okay with the Universe being designed by a programmer, but not God, although the programmer would be a god to us in every practical way.

I'm not an expert on climate change and I assume you have not devoted your life to climate science either.
From what I can ascertain, your links suggest a hiatus in warming not a reversal of trend.
To quote the BBC link:
"Prof Tung believes that whatever the cause and the length of the pause, we are on a "rising staircase" when it comes to global temperatures that will become apparent when the Atlantic current switches again.
At the end we will be on the rising part of the staircase, and the rate of warming there will be very fast, just as fast as the last three decades of the 20th Century, plus we are starting off at a higher plateau. The temperatures and the effects will be more severe."
And the LA Times link:
"Climate skeptics have pounced on this apparent discrepancy, citing it as proof that climate change isn't real, or at least that scientists don't completely understand it. But those who study Antarctic sea ice say their curious observations shouldn't shake anyone's confidence. Dramatic changes in temperature, sea level and extreme weather around the world are proof enough the planet is warming, they say; the only question is how these changes affect the Antarctic as they ripple through the climate system."
Again, I'm no expert. I don't presume that casual Internet research will enable me to properly evaluate and scrutinise academic articles and accurately assess their value within the broader rationale for acting against the purported harm caused by climate change.
Which is why I defer to organisations of scientists. If they overwhelmingly continue to believe that climate change is a threat, then so do I. If they change their views, so will I.
Why is this not the most reasonable approach?
Yeah, that's right. Who cares about the scientific method when you've got "consensus" and ridicule! "Boring," indeed.
DOA5 Ultimate Casual Lobby Sets: Mike The Epic vs Hagaishi

Gorilla vs. Goose
Swans can be pretty vicious too. A nearby lake was notorious for the big motherfrakkin' swan that would go out of its way to terrorize anyone who came to the beach there.
That said, an easy way to scare them off... use a blanket, jacket, or similar and hold it up in front of you like a wall and advance on them. Better yet, if you shake it slightly like you're closing in to pounce.
Like most animals they will react to your increased size by backing away.
Talking with the Siftbot (Sift Talk Post)
"(...)to stand as a permanent record of someone's mistake for all to see."
Why I shake in terror at the dreaded asterisk, for fear of public humiliation and an angry mob led by a tin can with torch and pitchfork.
But seriously, knowing he's lurking just behind the corner, waiting to pounce and proclaim your mistake for all to see can be intimidating.

Anya the Domestic Fox meets a cockroach
Who the roach? That cooka-roach found that hole quick! The fox's light pounce can't hurt that Madagascar-lookin', tank-of-a-bug....A tree roach that size from around here would have had yellow-goo-sploosh by now!
She reacted better than I would
TYT - Obama Going Back on Biggest Campaign Promises
You lefties have nothing to worry about. There is no such thing as federal mafia 'spending cuts', it's a myth.
And under taxocrat rule--SURPRISE!--taxes ARE going up, and already have.
You should see the list of new obamacare taxes ready to pounce, I only wish they hit all at once, so you could feel the full effect of your folly.
As for "punishing" the rich, won't happen. Higher tax rates do not equal more revenue. The smart money left town long ago. I don't blame anyone, liberal or not, for investing in other countries or keeping their money in low-yield non-taxable investments.
You and me on the other hand, still need jobs...
