The sift came across as having an atheist majority to me when I saw waves of Dawkins, Hitchens, Pat Condell, or random person that hates all things Christian posts getting sifted. They almost always shoot up to the top 15 instantaneously. Of course the overall user base may not have that bias, but it can really appear that way. I can think of plenty of athiest videos and could probably turn up a whole page full with a quick search, but it's almost impossible to find a video saying anything positive about Christians. In fact, just search for Christianity here and see what comes up. The funniest part of it to me is how an atheist post can sometimes turn in to people all patting each other on the back while pidgeon holing Christians as introlerant and hateful and talking about how much they loathe them all. Thats not all posts of course, but when I see it, it definitely makes me laugh. The easiest way to sift here is to either post something related to Atheism, Ron Paul, or LOLCats. Now, if someone could make some kindof hybrid Ron Dawkins cat that mocks Christians in a political debate about the constitution with a sign asking, "I can has cheezeburgr?" they'd be unstoppable.

no nothing personal, i just was surprised by the reaction, i mean the strong negative reaction to somebody making fun of religious extremists... i thought that was perfect for the Sift. Pat Condell gets in the top 15 with hatespeech... oh well.

If Pat Condell did anything positive for the condition of the world, he'd be worth listening to. He's just a depressing old wind-bag, doing a very good job of scare-mongering.

The guy in this video actually helps people on a daily basis.

I can tell you as a survivor of sexual abuse, with some still enresloved issues about sexuality (you thought I started this collective for entertainment?) I can tell you that this guy's ideas about the causes and conditions of sexual addiction are on the money.

I support anyone who seeks or offers therapy in an attempt to regain dignity and balance in their's and other's lives.

The only problem I have with athiests such as Pat Condell is that he comes across as angry with a finger pointing style. Who cares? it's not just that he is an athiest, it is that he has some huge anger against religion. Personally I like athiests who just go about their business and I like religious people who just go about their business. I'll have none of this elevated emotion over nothing.

Pat Condell is my hero.

Reacting in such a manner instead of talking it civilly is a bit immature, especially since a thread was here regarding the issue. And VS Muslim PR club? Hah.

Let videos float in the queue. What do you achieve from this dissemination of information?

Is it representative of the entire religion? Clearly not. The largest population of Muslim doesn't actually reside in the Middle East.

Is it the same as Christian bashing? Well are there American tanks rolling around Christians lands or Islamic lands? What do you think misunderstanding and fear breed?

Are you giving credence to a small minority and thus giving them power? Absolutely. This is clearly seen in current politics, just yesterday Iran and it's leader were being built up as some kind of war mongering nuclear armed dictator. No one of course talks about the massive sea and air power the US and UK field in the Persian gulf, capable of crippling nay destroying the entire nation of Iran in seconds back to the stone age. The misrepresentation of power politics in the Middle East is perverse.

What are the solutions offered? None.

So what is the basic conclusion. Let the war escalate, destroy every terrorist cell and Islamic nation for that matter. Where do the paths lead. Think about that. Understanding and diplomacy or more strong arm politics and war mongering.

I cannot fathom how I can have lived in the Middle east for as long as i have and strangely never been exposed to any of the garbage i have seen online. Clearly I am blind.

I guess being critical of the insanity here in the US is ok, but Islam is off-limits for some of you.

Who is Pat Condell? Apparently, nobody. Maybe we should ignore him and only give audience to those with loftier resumés.
