Chauvin Guilty of Murder as Calls for Police Reform Grow
Lol. You don't know which jurist or alternate, or which they were, biased or afraid, but you know someone was something so toss his multiple murder convictions....and execute the Central Park Five. LMFAHS!!
The biggest charge, second degree murder, was unanimous on the first vote in under two hours of deliberation. In interviews, jurists have said there were technical questions about applying third degree murder too, that's what took them a day, getting technical answers about the law, not questions about culpability, not fear. Sorry, wrong again.
Bobski, your hammer and sickle are showing.
Juries don't declare people innocent in America.....and Americans don't speak/write like a Russian first year English-as-a-second-language student or a Nigerian Prince with amazing financial deal bank for you money wealth.
There will be a new trial.
Jurors ( at least 1) were biased or feared of saying innocent.
New Rule: OK Boomer

Track Coach Fired After Refusing To Make Athletes Wear Masks
Good for him on standing up to dumb assery... Masks are overrated unless you are in close proximity to others for extended periods of time... I've not wore one outdoors for the entirety of this pandemic and have yet to contract the virus... I'm a fan of theme parks and I'm not going back until there are no mask requirements, but its hot here in FL during the summer and fuck all that... I got vaccinated, that should be enough.
Viral How Much Did Your Divorce Cost
I don't agree with you on this one, Bob.
My wife and I have been together since 1995. In that time, we've both dealt with issues in our lives that might have lead to the deaths of either one of us had we not been together. We've been through hell and kept each other on our feet when we felt like we couldn't walk another step. We've been there for each other in the absolute worst moments of our lives.
On the other side, my favorite memories always include her: the first time we saw the Eiffel Tower together; hiking together in Henry Coe State Park; nights in Mendocino and dinners at Brouwer's. A thousand thousand little things where she's brought happiness into my life. How much joy I experience just holding her hand!
Men lose everything? Have someone look at you when you feel like absolute human shit -- like you're the tiniest speck of worthlessness in the universe -- and say "I love you." Someone who doesn't just rescue you from yourself, but lifts you up into the pure light of happiness and joy, is the absolute affirmation of goodness in the human heart.
I say this with all honesty, with no malice and no sense of superiority, just one human being to another: if something happened to you that makes you feel the way you do, if someone hurt you that bad, then I wish it were within my power to lift that from your heart and soul. No one ever deserves to have love turned to hate, least of all you.
Marriage is a win win for the woman.
Lose Lose for the man.
Woman have nothing to lose. Men lose everything.
Dad mics up his skiing toddler
they were a pair.
the sub 5 boy in the pram and the 'above 35' man pushing it from behind.
nope. it wasn't a conversation they were having. just, both of them, talking to themselves as they toured the park.
neither judged either.
how could anyone? it seemed too natural to be questionable.
How to Control Stress in Real-Time
had the same thought...kinda of.
"could he have said that better or is he letting us know in advance?"
strangely sort of legendary way of going. "he fell into the grand canyon". make grandpa seem more mountain man-ish.
but maybe not...

I was randomly watching videos of people doing that just last night. You might want to put it last on your list, a lot of them fell to their deaths.
Mom Says Neighbors Repeatedly Call Cops On Her Kids
Dude, you live in West Sacramento, so shut the fuck up. If you wanted to live somewhere nice, you would have moved to the Fab 40s or Land Park. Instead, you bought a cheap-ass house in a cheap-ass area because you're a cheap-ass prick, so suck it up.
You're lucky that bangers aren't drive-by'ing your house 24/7, because that's what West Sac was like in the 80s. The only reason anyone ever went to West Sac was to buy drugs, usually from me. That place was fucking anarchy for decades. My friend and sales associate used to down a 5th of Jack, then camp out on his back porch with a .22 and shoot rats off the power lines. Occasionally, he actually hit one instead of blacking out the whole block. Then, once he was done dealing with the local wildlife, he'd move on to blowing off M-80s and M-100s at 4 in the morning. That's what West Sac used to be like on a quiet night. When shit got rowdy -- a day we called 'pretty much any hot summer day' -- the fun was fully uncorked. Shootings, fires, more shootings, vandalism, fist-fights, street robberies, SO much more shooting, an increase in drug sales and thus my income; even the cops stayed off the streets on nights like that.
This idiot wouldn't have lasted five minutes in West Sac back then. Fucking skateboarding -- shit.
Mom Says Neighbors Repeatedly Call Cops On Her Kids
I'm with mom on this one although it's really impossible to know what's actually going on without more info. It's usually about the details which you won't get from this type of news story. I wouldn't assume to much on either side.
I do think it's cool she trying to get a skate park built for the kids.

Mom Says Neighbors Repeatedly Call Cops On Her Kids
She doesn't seem to realize she's a Karen too....assuming the rules don't apply to her and creating drama when told they do. Someone should cross out "neighborhood", "full", and "of" on her sign.
7 kids skating in the street until dark every day would be maddening. It may sound petty, but it wouldn't if she was your neighbor.
She says she doesn't know what to do....try telling your kids to skate at the skate park, or find a parking lot or alley not in a residential area. She knows they annoy the neighborhood but obviously hasn't told them to go elsewhere.
Skating in the street in California is a crime....so is denying your neighbors the peaceful enjoyment of their property. They should keep calling until she understands that, or file a lawsuit for a few thousand a month (per neighbor) until they quiet down.
Why you can't compare Covid-19 vaccines
Dose 2 from what my wife's nurse friend says causes minor to moderate flu like symptoms in some people. In most it seems to be no worse than the effects from getting the flu shot.
I can say that compared to full blown Covid, the first dose was a walk in the park. I would wager the second is still much easier than having it directly. I'll post on my profile once I see how it goes, second shot on the 29th.
Ouch. Flu shots were nothing to me. Just minor muscle pain. I wonder if we will suffer with our upcoming dose #2.
David Cross: Why America Sucks at Everything
Sure, but we got TANKS! We got so many tanks some never get used and go directly into mothballed fleets parked in the desert. What kind of excessive tank force does Canada have? *mic drop
Impeachment Managers Make Case Against Trump to Open Trial
"Never underestimate the stupidity of American blowhards."
Y'all approproated that from H. L. Mencken.* Thought of that too. But sometimes, folks can surprise a body.
EX: mininum wage ballot ininitive, a few election cycles ago, came up in 5 RED red states and they passed easily. even when the state govenments wouldn't do so at gun point. sometimes folks know what's what and go w/it.
just saying things can go so bad for so long, good things can slip in w/o anyone noticing. progress in america has never came in waves but in sporatic pulses.
heck. the GOP was a progressive movement at conception. some of that progressness flowed into the turn-of-century. got nat'l parks from teddy. (think of that? a Republican supporting land - for everybody - just to look at and not exploited? it's true!)
hope for hope's sake, s'all.
'Lightn' Hopkins said (or close to), "If'n your first though is 'I can't'; then don't even try". I say we should try. It can be done.
*he also said, "On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." spot-on.
Tazed Repeatedly For Social Distancing
While I agree, he should get paid handsomely for this abuse, I, for one, am getting pretty tired of paying higher taxes that go to pay for these payouts. I think they should come out of the police (or in this case, park ranger) pension funds, then when they're gone, union coffers, then payroll, equipment funds, and lastly from state government discretionary funding. Not one penny more should be given out until all police funding is exhausted. You would see these incidents drop to zero if that were the case, and these officers wouldn't ever get rehired because they are liabilities to the bank accounts of any force that hires them.
time to get paid my man
Golf Cart Gone Wild
Reminds me a bit of the time my grandparents let me drive their golf cart.
They decided the best way to learn was to have me park it in the garage closet it barely fit in. Not surprisingly, I drove it right through the back wall, having had absolutely no training, no supervision (they got out first), and not even knowing where the brake was. I was <4....they blamed me and didn't let me drive it again for over 10 years.
Congress Under Armed Attack Live Stream
Not enough by far, by design. Only 1/4 of the capitol police were on duty for this advertised riot/attack on democracy. Offers of backup from DC police and the national guard were refused. Normal non violent events usually have at least double that number, the non violent BLM protests at BLM park (the whitehouse) had over 7500 law enforcement officers stationed for days, this advertised armed attack and trial by combat had what, <500? Almost half of those were diverted to the two seperate live bombs the terrorists set, yet they still refused offers of more officers and didn't even call in off duty capitol police....good thing, they were busy being part of the riot. The FBI had many indications the Trump crowd planned unprecedented violence, dozens if not hundreds of messages calling for murder of BLM and Antifa members, murder of representatives, murder of anyone trying to stop their coup. "Either we get our president or die fighting for him" was a typical message. Rally points in other states discussed. "This is not a March, not a protest, it's war, come ready for battle." Read numerous others.
Turns out in many cases the barricades were useless because cops refused to use them and allowed people to walk through or around. They have been successfully used uncountable times before, but we’ve never had capitol police themselves be part of the mob, and with so many off duty cops and military in the crowd they thought, like at their job, the rules don’t apply to them or those with them. They talked their coworkers off the line in MANY instances, flashing their badges to gain entry then helping other rioters through.
Even if they weren’t stopping everyone, that’s not a reason to remove them so they stop no one. That’s asinine, I suppose you leave your front door open because your windows won’t stop a determined home invader?
Is your point that a fence that has openings is useless....hmmm...I recall someone else that was willing to divide and bankrupt the nation over a 1/2 of a fence...who was that?
It looks like there were enough cops to hold the crowd back if they concentrated at the doors, they made a mistake trying to have a large perimeter, which is why we have videos of them taking barriers down because they were just gone around and useless, not because cops were letting them in. There were about 50 full on riot cops with shields who seemed to hold the rear of the building just fine.
