LA Newsroom's earthquake reaction
Follow the money for the magnitude of reaction. Santa Monica, Westwood, populated by rich folks-one reason. Also, the location of the epicenter and recent infrequency in the same area, factors stack-up for worry when this could evidence a pre-trem for more to follow. Let it happen in bumfuck and see how little news it makes. PAC-Rim may go in your lifetimes naysayers, pack a go-baggy.
Obamacre Navigators Exposed Coaching Applicants to Lie
So, someone went into an 'navigators' office looking for help getting health insurance. Then he confessed that he had been cheating on his taxes. The navigator advised him that the forms he was filling out would be sent to the IRS. They also advised him that unless he was ready to deal with consequences of his initial lie, he should maintain it.
Also, there is a controversy because some old lady thinks a group is part of the DNC. Oh, and a 501(c)3 is working with a PAC. Which is only allowable under certain conditions. Which O'Keefe fails to tell us and fails to show how those rules are being broken here. Instead he chooses to insinuate that a PAC which has a political strategy is somehow nefarious because they are implementing that strategy.
Ghostery: Knowledge + Control = Privacy
So this relative pizza places are related as a branch? That's OK then. If they were competitors, then I would be worried!

Also, did Pac/Puck-Man eat a power pollet to make that ghost blue (why happy too?)
Lawrence O'Donnell - What Constitution says about treason
You really don't have to go back that far. Try the late 80's.
Can you imagine what the StaSi of East Germany could have done with the kind of access the NSA has? They couldn't even dream of that shit.
George Orwell must feel pretty stupid now.
Snowden isn't a hero but he certainly deserves some applause. He did exactly the right thing, he did what I'd expect from somebody who fights for freedom. You know, like the people living in the land of the free.
And regarding O'Donnell's point, he's absolutely right. Somebody in a position like Boehner should know his language better and choose it more appropiately. Unfortunately, Boehner would wipe his butt with the constitution if you'd give him enough Super PAC money.
If a german soldier had stood against the system in WW2, we'd have called that soldier a hero.
Ten Richest People in the World
Think of dollars as score points and life as Pac Man. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.
In NZ, there is a mentality among small business owners referred to as "Boat, bach and BMW". Essentially it states that once kiwi business people make enough money to have a boat, a bach (kiwi slang) and a BMW, they lose interest in expanding their business any further.
The government, lobby groups, economic "think tanks" and so on are always complaining about this.
My response has always been "why?". If I had enough money to live comfortably and buy the little luxuries I want, why on earth would I keep working myself to the bone?
I know some people work because they love what they do and that's cool, but working just so you can have another million or billion or whatever? What's the point?
Mazda Scandal Booth - The IRS - Trevor Potter

I love these PAC/superPAC bits. I just wish there was a compilation of all of them.

when are we going to have some pushback against corporate lobbying? At what point do people finally get fed up with this shit?

Did Anonymous Prevent Rove from Stealing Another Election?
It's hardly accurate to discount Karl Rove as "an old man" like he's some rambling wacknut on a street-corner.
He's the architect of neo-conservatism, the poster child of the Bush era, and a man capable of organizing multiple Super PACs worth hundreds of millions of dollars of secret money.>> ^direpickle:
Occam's razor. Which is more likely?
1) An old man refuses to believe that the world is changing around him
2) An old man had secretly rigged a national election, but the only people that knew about it were a bunch of spunky 4channers, and somehow taking down a website took down the entire infrastructure that would've allowed an entirely different set of servers talk to one another.
Colbert Super PAC SHH! - Secret Second 501c4
So let me get this straight:
start a super pac.
collect a lot of "donations".
spend as little as you can but still make it look like you are trying to help your candidate win.
after the election, pocket what's left which is hopefully the majority of what was collected.
tax free?
Karl Rove Calls Fox News Premature
Hey when your Super-Pac donates as many millions of dollars to a loser that his did, it can be a bit hard to accept.

Well, Cenk dialled down his antics for his Wolf-PAC presentation at Columbia two months ago. To be honest though, I rather enjoy his antics, just like I enjoy Cenk's/Ben's epic rants and Michael's/Steven's more serious commentaries.
It's good entertainment.
I mostly agree with you. I enjoy Cenk's takedowns of hypocrisy immensely.
He has, on occasion, gone overboard.
And his catch phrases can be overused.
Mostly entertaining tho.

Romney goes for Mr Big, glutton of greed
First line is "I approve this message." And PBS has contacted the Obama campaign to ask them to pull it, which they are "considering."
I must admit I had the same reaction -- this is damn funny, but it is shouldn't be an official Obama campaign ad. Not presidential.

One more of the millions of reasons PACs and SUPERPACs shouldn't exist (it's a pac that did this, right? Right??)
