In the short term that’s karmic. In the long term, I wonder what it means for their homeless population and wonder if we can expect an exodus since services and opportunities are about to dry up.

On a side note, thousands of animals are now homeless, lost, hurt, or in need of supplies in LA. If you can donate directly to a local rescue, do it. Don’t donate to national charities that spend 98% on advertising and administration costs, donate directly to rescue organizations that spend donations on animals.

My dad liked to play “kill the kid” where if he caught me walking in the road he would drive at me at 15-20mph, I would jump on the hood, he would hit the breaks so I rolled off, then he would drive off. My wife and I went to Iceland (I went to a formula offroad event while there!) a while back, and one B&B host told us that for years they sent videos of Formula Offroad to SkyTV (the European version of ESPN) with no response. Federal laws have upheld special councils exactly like Smith, appointed the same way, and that has been upheld in dozens of cases including some at the Supreme Court.
