"There is no longer any doubt..."

quantumushroom says...

I don't think American leftists believe America is a good country. Of course they're going to look for the bad. That's their right (ha ha) and for the most part, the US doesn't censor our mistakes like, say, RED China.

"Nothing justifies torture," is an admirable position. Get this vital message out to the jihadists, along with "Nothing justifies homicide bombings" and "Nothing justifies 'honor' killings."

So if the defective Muslim civilization were jumping off a bridge, would you jump too?

Yes, but while wearing a bungee cord.

PS to choggie, please make with the "free energy" you claim is being suppressed. I suspect for you it's trucker pills washed down with 3 liters of Mountain Dew.

Cat in a beer box

uhohzombies says...

Wow, yeah, that's a beautiful cat. I thought it was a Scottish Fold at first (I mean, hell, all the damn internet cat videos are of that breed it seems), but now I'm not so sure.

My old Siamese cat used to love to do that kind of thing. I'd get a 12-pack of Mountain Dew and leave the empty box out and he'd climb in through the little hole and chill inside like it was a little cave. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a cat that DIDN'T like boxes in some way, shape, or form.

Only a Mountain Dew commercial can be eXtreme enough to warrent that kind of scream. The sample is from a 20 year old commercial sound library and it is almost always a poor choice in movies, tv ads, radio ads, and video games.

Where are my fellow skeptics? I can't believe you guys would think this was real. ...you should have felt your leg being pulled.

Oh no doubt this is fun with photoshop. That said, my personal account above^ is not fiction and brings the grain of truth that people need to believe this could be real.

I think I could actually hear the kids teeth dissolving as it sipped on the green goodness.

Siftquisition: Quantumushroom (Sift Talk Post)

Fedquip says...

Quantumushroom, a mushroom you love to hate and hate to hate

I picture a snake like character slithering under his desk, in his one room apartment, rubbing his hands, chugging his mountain dew, making love to his dick cheney doll. What a guy.

I think his submissions were inappropriate but he really only gets attention when he says/does crazy things. We pay little attention when he tries to share his interests.

Yes, it's all fun and games when your not the one being siftquistioned, it's good to see he at least emailed Dag, but not showing up for your own SQ is poor etiquette.

And that the end of the day isn't what QM did just an example of poor community etiquette, Downvoting a persons queue (picture it, picture gollum here guzzing his dew at 1am downvoting a queue, it's sad) It's not the type of character you want sharing your community, I wouldn't want a neighbour who shits on my lawn everytime I plant flowers.

Obviously QM has some social problems, this is the Internet, and the sift is a community full of people with entirely different backgrounds and reasons for using this website. What QM did was done in poor taste and the Siftquisition is well justified.

Everybody should read QM's email to Dag, because that is the closest we will get to performing an autopsy on this troll. After reading it I simply think QM doesn't understand exactly how this web community runs, he thinks he can come on here and use the site with the tools he is provided in any way he wants.

QM probably is on the payroll of some right wing lobby group, one of many sock puppetting liberal communities to keep them from having civilized conversations, you can find them commenting on my AOL blog 24/7 Web 2.0 is slowly drowning out these trolls and they are becoming more and more extinct.

Thank God

Ugh... Mountain Dew plus Children = Utter Mayhem

Brings back terrible memories of babysitting back in junior high school for these kids who lived down the street... their parents (who were both registered nurses, btw, and you would think would know better) used to let their kids (3 of them) have unrestricted access to the Dew, like, they would go through a couple two liters in a day.... so usually, by the time I got there for their parents to slip off to dinner and a movie, they were all amped up and bouncing off the walls... and not just that, they were out of control, fighting, screaming, once the boy got into his dad's tool box in the garage and chased his sisters around with a hammer... and, surprise! they would never go to sleep because they were perpetually wound up, it was ridiculous... finally I had to put my foot down and tell the parents that I wouldn't babysit anymore if their kids were allowed to drink caffeine before I showed up. They were noticeably better after that, but apparently the withdrawl symptoms were rough on the kids, because I was eventually replaced with a more tolerant babysitter.

I can remember the absolute horror on my ex wife's face when she first visited with my family in North Carolina (were I hale from originally) and at the airport witnessed a mother giving, what must have been a kid between 1 -2 years old, swigs of her Mountain Dew soda, while holding the kid on her hip and smoking a cig inches from the child's face... welcome to NC, indeed.

Synthetic Sea - Plastic in the open ocean

choggie says...

"no such thing as biodegradation of petroleum-based, manufactured plastic"

-but your own hypocritical hubris will have you reaching for a Mountain Dew, using a plasty hankie for yer baby's bum, or fuck all, buying anything with money.....seriously folks, it's dance naked with strangers and spend yer retirement while yer well fit time....cause no one will do anything to stop it, eh?
We need to teach an entire generation not to act like raccoons and parrots, the thieving monkeys have instructed the rest of the apes in their ways, and command them to obey their example.....
