I'd have to trudge out the the back yard, shovel in hand, while the guy next door shot me the stink-eye because he was tired of fishing dog turds out of his swimming pool every day during the summer. This task is odious enough, but it's a thousand times worse when you're stoned and it's a million degrees out and you'd much rather be floating on your waterbed listening to Dark Side of the Moon in headphones while blissful AC-cooled air wafts over your twice-weekly washed body and not fighting your way through a black fog of Horseflies to reach a 1:1 scale model of Mt. Doom made entirely of a too-quickly digested overpriced slurry of meat scraps and offal that the canners couldn't fob off on Mexico.

It might not have been as bad as all that, but in my hazy recollection, it was pretty darned close.

It's really the team and not the driver though. This year each car is required to be fitted with an FIA fuel sensor to ensure that they don't exceed the maximum 100kg/hr fuel flow. In this case, the team found that the sensor was reading a bit high, so complying with it would mean a loss of power... so they changed the ECU settings to ignore it and go with their calculated values instead. I imagine that the basis of their appeal against this decision will be that they did not actually exceed the maximum, it was a sensor error that made it appear that they did so, and that they therefore gained no advantage.

I disagree that their paper "profoundly shaped public policy". It seems to me that you have made it abundantly to me that you don't take a neutral stance and just "take the side of the sift", you work based of rumors as well as the rest of the mongrels. You judged me quite quickly during the whole alien_concept leaving thread, which I certainly did not appreciate. You also gave me a whole lot of shit for making a comment on the what's-her-face "seen her naked" video as well. This is not appreciated as well. You should be impartial, dedicated to the sift and to the truth - you instead chose to be dedicated to all the butt-hurt users who complained. Like when burdturgler complained about "spook" being used by quantumushroom and blankfist. These are not admirable leadership methods. I agree that you have to walk a balancing act at all times with such things, but consistently making the wrong choice is a bad move.
