How to make a Paperclip Cube

BSR says...

I thought the same thing but I'm to lazy to research how others have different words for same things. If I correct the "error" it wouldn't jive as a search word for the original video.

Basically I was cornered.

I'm sure Judge newt boy can settle this.

I have to stop watching the Trump trial.

Will Smith smacks Chris Rock on stage at Oscars Uncensored

Digitalfiend jokingly says...

Am I the only one who thinks that slap was a stunt of some sort? The awkwardness of how Will slapped Chris just feels like it was premeditated and not an emotional spur of the moment thing. Then the little swagger and smirk in his walk back didn't seem to jive with someone who was angry (or enraged). Watch it closely or in slow motion. Not saying the slap didn't make contact, but it seemed...off.

The only confusing part was Will's outburst once back in his seat. That seemed more genuine and created that real sense of awkward silence.

Might explain the lack of pressing charges, the Academy's weak response, etc. Who knows...and really who cares. I'm not a fan of Chris Rock's "humour" (it's a strain for me to call him humorous) and couldn't care less about the Oscars or Will Smith. I'm more curious whether this was staged or if Will Smith really slaps like a girl...

"The radicalization of the Republican Party is a danger to us all. We must reject it."

welcome to the wagon. kinda hard to hear over the band sometimes, but nice to have ya'.

not a fan of the right-wing media. for a long, long - too long of a time. don't jive, daddy-o, w/putting out messages that fellow Americans are evil and an existential threat to anyone w/o a GOP membership. it's all f'n'ing stupid lies. also detrimental to the church socials. flinging potato salad at some 'antifa'¹ punk because he joked the orange jello resembled the former president is kinda over-the-stop. can you dig it?

like the bus driver, who smiles and greets their passengers, is looking forward to driving them all to HELL? on the face, doesn't that seem farfetched?

sure, the 'blue' ka-ka carries odor too. all those snide, snarky, condescending comments are hurtful - although it all is a bit less terrifying than storming the capitol - it could be better on that side of the pasture.²

how the name of baby jesus³ can a fellow citizen be so {{E V I L }} if they want healthcare, better wages, a stronger voice, equality, and a smarter populace for all Americans? makes no sense. seems they want more for the red than the red wants to work for?

the whole Ayn Rand puke didn't work for Louis XVI: it's past its fresh-by-date, and the right is already losing their heads over Mr. Potato Head.

anyway...Fox News is load w/criminals and is regularly sued for being f'n'liars. they are the people you're parents said they didn't want you around.

keep them out the house so they don't keep you out of your mind.

1: Adolph, 'AntiFa' means anti-fascist. my uncle, WWII vet, is one. respect.
2: Although, voting for a creamsicle does deserve SOME derision.
3: 'jeez-us and not 'hey-sooz' AKA your kid's next boss

BTW: found your mom delightful. not bored at all. or at least for the time i paid for. (not nice. sorry. didn't want to be left out of guy time)

Perceptive lawyer figures abuser and victim in same location

luxintenebris jokingly says...

read the title so that was a big tip-off

believe the greatest suspicion was the plaintiff's vagueness about the attack. the prosecution usually doesn't ask a question they don't know the answer to. the victim's testimony wasn't jiving w/her complaint. something very off. very nervous. in her own house. undoubtedly, ms. davis has dealt w/this (too much) and hearing the woman now trying to soft-sell what happen was likely the tipping point.

was odd that the woman had on winter gear. and she knew his hoodie was gray (looks darker). maybe a cold house? if that was a clue = columbo time.

would like to know the police officer's suspicions too. seemed his expressions matched the prosecutions. quick on the phone too.

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean ( cover by Donald Trump )

RFlagg says...

Says the right who wants to deny gay people equal rights under the law because they sin differently. Who want to deny service to gay people because they sin differently. Who cares that Jesus said to love one another, to treat others as you'd want to be treated, and that those without sin should toss the first stones, yet toss stones of intolerance, bigotry and hatred. Don't even get me started on intolerance of emigrants, of other faiths (try being an open atheist in most workplaces or trying to run for office, as much pure hate and intolerance over Muslims that the right has, they hate atheist even more), intolerance of other races and lack of empathy for the plight of African Americans and just want those black people to stay in their place and not show any sort of unity... Rich. Truly rich, calling the left the ones that are intolerant. It's the right's intolerance that proved to me Christianity is a sham, because that doesn't jive with what Christ taught, but that is the attitude of the Christian Right and the GOP.

Lawdeedaw says...

First, I always point out Christianity's faults, specifically Westborough and Mormon secs...it's like you listened to me for years, then decided to belligerently use something I said over and over again against me just because it felt good? I get that you can't remember everything we talk about, but the gist should be gotten at least.

Second, just like the Bible, the book itself is homophobic. Are there fantastic Muslims? Sure. Just like I am sure there are good Scientologists, which I am sure you must defend. But their religion is against psychology medication, period. Does that mean all practice it? No? Well shit, then their doctrine gets a free pass!

I spoke only of their book--not of them. You then support that book, so not sure if that qualifies as supporting Muslims in general (Hint, since I NEVER once said anything about Muslims themselves, you didn't actually defend them. That means you supported the literal doctrine of the Koran.)

So yeah...care to explain how your Progressive beliefs jive with the Koran?

bareboards2 said:

I downvoted your comment because it was ignorant of the variety of beliefs held by a variety of Muslims, and it perpetuates that ignorance.

As they say about spotting possible terrorist activity -- If you see something, say something.

Or even better, Jon Stewart's applying it to bullshit, same thing. If you see something, say something.

Just following some very good advice from a variety of sources across the political landscape.

After all, we have Westboro Baptist Church. Who says that they represent Christianity? Nobody. NOBODY.

Exercise is NOT the Key to Weight Loss

PalmliX says...

This jives perfectly with my own experience over the years. I struggled with weight my entire life, diets, gym, etc... nothing worked or sticked.

A year ago I hit my peak weight of 335lbs, since then I've lost 70lbs, ALL due to diet. I go on walks and get little to moderate exercise occasionally but the weight loss has been 100% due to diet.

The secret? Counting calories, just reduce it to simple numbers, all the different and often contradictory shit people say about diet and weight loss I just threw out the window and focused on my daily caloric intake.

The best part about this "diet" is that I basically still get to eat whatever I want, as long as I stay within my daily calories, I still loose weight.

christian woman is really upset with you

PalmliX says...

I really don't understand why these people are so upset because it's not as if the government has said that a religious definition of marriage has to be X, they're just saying that on a civic level, it's X, but as far as a particular church or a minister goes, they can still refuse to marry a gay couple can't they?

It's not as if the government is forcing pastors to marry gay couples is it? Or re-defining what the Christian definition of marriage is? Didn't they just re-define marriage on the civic/legal level? I'm honestly really confused here... Are they upset because now the government's definition no longer jives with theirs?
