Rep. Al Green Responds After Being Removed From The House Fl

newtboy says...

So now two Greens have shouted out during recent presidential speeches, one was booed, one was removed and censured.

What’s the difference?
Skin color of the representative, and skin thickness of the president.

The president was elected by the thinnest margin since Bush lost (but the Supreme Court handed him a win), 1.5% (and under 50% of the vote). Under 50% is not a mandate for anything, especially things you said were off limits in your campaign.

Trudeau says Canadians are angry

newtboy says...

Canada and Mexico should not pause their tariffs, and should add 100% export taxes to Canadian energy (so America pays and Canada keeps the money). America cannot keep the lights on without it, we will pay anything to keep it coming, and the Canadians know it, just like Mexico knows we can’t keep food on the shelves without Mexican produce (soon exclusively since American farms can’t find workers to be able to produce produce).

The stupidest trade war in history is an apt name for this fiasco. Every penny doge could ever save has been squandered already with the losses this intentional commercial uncertainty has caused, and the negative effects are just beginning.

Elon Musk Cold Open - SNL

cloudballoon jokingly says...

Canada's not for sale is right. I hope that Trudeau (or the next PM) is already hatching a reverse "Canadian Caper"-esque mission as payback if Trump invades us AND saving Americans asses yet again by extracting Trump & Musk from Mar-a Lago and permanaently make them our Permanent Resident "guests" (actually Musk's already Canadian) in our prisons and use them as target practice (as hockey goaltenders in chains... we're pacifists!).

You're welcome.

I stopped trying long ago.
I don’t even read him anymore, and when he spams my profile page I just erase it unseen.
I’m not missing a thing beyond grade school insults and kindergarten mentality.

“To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture.”

You cant reason with people like this.

Is this petty? What do U wish U could say 2 work customers?

newtboy says...

9/10 seemed perfectly reasonable. The 10th is why I’m not employed.

E.g.-My wife is forced to tell her customers “JUST GOOGLE IT!” because she’s not allowed to tell them how to fill out forms for liability reasons, but google is.

Elon and Zuck are INSECURE Men

luxintenebris says...

do see this. it's a real phenomenon.

the irony is that the 'manly party' is one of the main causes of men not feeling like men. while the 'snowflakes' are the ones more likely to push for better education (affordability), higher wages...things that'd repair these very issues.

you can see it

but the far right (GOP by default) is a ball trap. a death cult. a 3-hole outhouse w/no moon for ventilation (it stinks).

some of that might be helpful. 'tho Facebook, X and the sludge of right-wing morgues (where truth or thought goes to die)* show some have no pride, shame or gray-matter.
additionally, with all the unauthorized, spook behavior of Leon and ilk - maybe a liability.
would prefer some balance.
the fairness doctrine was put there to give people a different perspective. most people try to be fair. like any debate, no one person is going to win them all. and often efficiently culls the hacks EX: Rush Limbaugh tried a TV show but his audience ran him off the air {check out YouTube} ideas were challenged and died on the vine. Rush's vineyard went dry.
plus, believe people would love to hear something new. get the idea Fox audiences are s t a r v e d for some synaptic activity when the former Sec of Trans got a standing O because of it.
it felt good. and not so damn blah-blah-blah.
plus just getting the spectrum of people talking to each, trying to actually solve something, just might provide us the way back to some sense of sanity.

*yeah. no group has corner the market on bad brains - but the per capita is defiantly skewed toward the far right.

another head scratcher/gut churner/soul sighing show. it's way over time to get some patrols on the 'information highway'. the web of lies/undue social influence/bias reporting/echo chambers and general nastiness needs some lines of (lack of a better word) decency that nary be crossed.
it's been done before.
'fire in a crowed theater' put some measurement on of the definition of 'free speech'. there is a line where 'free speech' fails to be freedom & becomes the dungeons of despair.
it's a tough subject to gauge, but do trust caring* people can draw a 'line-in-the-sand' so young people don't kill themselves over cyber bulling. or hyper-partisan yodels don't attack random INNOCENT people. or where honesty and a love of variable facts becomes a touchstone.
it needs to happen.
this would be the (past) time to get all types together and hammer out some guidelines. Maybe, use existing laws. change the 230(#?) shield limits. AI monitoring. or have civil suits to sue, sue, and sue until the posting of anything that comes into a person's head, meets a reality check.
not against the exchange of ideas, challenges of the norms, or any free speech of merit (or even some of dubious value) -but just getting us out of the muck of the 'muddy minimum-maintenance roadway of disinformation'.
peace.

*extend that to all of the 'sick-of-this-s*it' folk)

Ozzy Man Reviews: Destination Cucked! - Cybertruck Fails #2

Nice try….but for Ford that exposure to the elements exclusion is limited to cosmetic damage to paint trim and interior, not the drive train parts like a Tesla…and didn’t include light.
And notice “uneven, rough, damaged, or hazardous surfaces, unfinished roads, (read as any dirt road regardless of condition) , or any purpose for which the vehicle was not designed” (which is anywhere off pavement or parked outside or any truck activity in teslas) are NOT listed as not covered in the Ford warranty, only intentional misuse or abuse.

OMG! The part you mentioned about not covering you driving through a car wash is spelled out to mean if you hit something…”accidents collisions or objects striking the vehicle ( including driving through a car wash)”, not about it getting wet…the Tesla voids the entire car if you don’t go into car wash mode to wash it and if you use any pressurized water, or get any water through the bad “seals”, or don’t immediately dry it.

Why are you trying so hard to misrepresent easily read warranties to pretend Teslas or their warranties are like the others…they aren’t. It’s clear.
Elon? Is that you?

visionep said:

From the F-150 warranty:

"misuse of the vehicle, such a driving over curbs, overloading, racing or using the vehicle as a permanent stationary power source"

And right above that part it says it won't cover you driving through a car wash.

For the same wind and water environment exclusion take a look at page 18.

Performative outrage against non-issues is amazingly common these days, but maybe it's always been that way. I can just hear an old lady on Little House on the Prairie exclaiming "Oh my, well I never!"

Maybe so about the parts ordering, I can’t find that, still wouldn’t sit well with me that my car could order it’s own parts in my name…and I would expect abuse, especially considering the company owner.

I don’t have one to read the warranty directly, but not covering any damages incurred off the pavement even on flat level dirt roads or driveways is not normal for a truck, especially a 4x4. Fords come with an off road package and do not exclude damages/failures that happen on maintained dirt roads or flat level grass (maybe excluding potholes)…and they don’t get stuck on either!

I feel I can safely say no other truck voids the warranty for “exposure to sunlight, wind, or water”, listed on the “warranty”.

https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/comments/1d0ld6y/tesla_cybertruck_warranty_doesnt_include/

Tesla is well known for covering nothing off dry pavement including damage from puddles or mud (neither of which should damage a truck, and don’t damage Fords).

The parts thing only happens when vehicles and replacement parts are under warranty. @newtboy If you can find the source showing the warranty is voided driving a Cybertruck in the grass then I'll find the same language in the warranty docs for Fords.

This stuff is funny and Tesla doesn't deserve any leeway since their CEO has apparently gone"fact free" lately, but pushing easy to discredit "facts" seems like it distracts from the real issues with these vehicles and the company as a whole.

The Pinto thing is total BS sensationalist stat mining. They include the guy that tried to blow himself up in the Cybertruck in Vegas as someone who was killed by the truck. Really?

The biggest problem with Tesla in my mind is their over-promising and shitty service. I'm not sure how companies get away with promising stuff that isn't available yet but it seems like it is getting more common.

To me it looks like their service problems are a mix of 3 factors.
1. Not enough replacement parts at the ready
2. Service centers are understaffed because of the principal of running at below expected need until shit breaks. Only then can you apply more resources.
3. Service centers were designed to work efficiently but are run by a bunch of idiots that came from other manufacturer service centers so they want to do it "their way" instead of following the efficient hands off model that was originally planned.

Another fun fact: all teslas can “sense” when a part is going bad and order new parts directly to the dealership in your name, only notifying you when your parts are ready for installation. No way Elon would abuse that system to fleece his customers, is there?

Also fun fact: driving a cyber truck in the grass voids the warranty, as do rough roads, potholes, mud, and puddles. Not the case for the Ford that costs 1/2 as much for a real truck that can truck.
