Behold the mesmerising power of UP's buxom charm!

ForgedReality says...

If you were to ask me to define "sin" itself, I would say "lie," so perhaps I'm not the ideal person to whom you should address that question. You might want to talk to shinyblurry up there.
>> ^MarineGunrock:
You still failed to define the sin at hand.

Yes that's exactly how I intended to complete that sentence! You continue to show your mastery of self-awareness! I applaud you, sir!

@ForgedReality: Flaunt? She's flaunting them? You way want to check the dictionary. Also, I weigh more than she does, but a large amount. I'm also physically fit and in no way fat. She's not intruding on anyone, and I guarantee I consume nearly twice what she does.

yawn This isn't about you... Are you so insecure that you have to ... gah! Why am I even explaining this? click

Sorry to intrude on your house..but I thought this is a community. A community with a prevailing atheist viewpoint, but you're not all atheists are you? So, if you're saying the majority rules then I guess you'd be a hypocrite complaining about Christian influence in American culture.
You can call my beliefs nonsense all day long, but that isn't exactly compelling. Mostly the points I see being made here are laced with insults, profound ignorance, and a complete lack of intellectual curiosity. I would call that pointless, really.
And sorry that it's pompous to submit videos, which is the whole point of this site. You wouldn't mind what I did if it didn't disagree with your views. How about you feel free not to watch it? The closed-minded nastyness here is pretty notable. I mean we have 45 comments, and 300 views, but 3 votes. I even got a downvote. Clearly this video is interesting to people, yet it won't get many votes because of this closed-mindedness. The testimony here is emotional and powerful, and I know it will make people think..yet most of the comments here are just attacking comments I made rather than anything insightful about the video itself.

dude, you are either 1) intentionally confrontational, 2) a obnoxious blowhard who's overly aggressive in his quest to insist everyone think like you or believe the things you do, 3) a troll, or a combination of the three

ya youre video wont get any votes, not because most dont find it compelling enough to warrant so, but because we're all a bunch of closed minded fools. that sound about right to you?

Yes a community which you seem to want to capitalize on to gain piety point, a community which you condescend to by saying things like "endless void of unbelief that is currently blanketing the community" as if we can just import nonsense into our world view to solve this supposed lack. You are of course welcome here, IF you learn to stop being an ass to those of us who are already here, something which should be easy if you can manage to see us as more than souls to be harvested.

We don't have to "compel" ourselves to not believe that for which there is no evidence. If you have no interest in considering your claimed beliefs well enough to defend them, that's really not my problem, but it is similarly not compelling.

Okay, how about leaving the cross at home, and deal with the fact that you are not being martyred, you are being criticized. Since the video does not actually contain anything insightful you really should not be surprised that people are talking about the comments, especially the ones where you implicitly ask us all to pretend that we don't disagree with you, and to ignore your condescending posturing so that you can continue to be a jerk with impunity.

NCIS- The ultimate slap in the face for computer geeks

Friesian says...

Serious upvote for the excellent description which accompanies this video.

If they'd SLI'd their graphics output into a DVI channel over SCSI, then lowjacked that across the north bridge while simultaneously compiling an internal object protocol, they might have been able to deflect the incoming Ajax code injection into a root channel PHP dustbin, effectively reversing the polarity of the data hub and causing magnetic failure of the intruder's hard drive.

If only that jackass hadn't pulled the plug then they would have been able to turn the tables!

Here's a Mormon who understands true Christian morality

The only fight left is this pathetic vestige of religious homophobia.

...
let's put the science aside for a second and talk logic.

Let's not.

You dismiss my views as 'religious homophobia' and moments later ask to put aside science as it's inconvenient to your own. I hope the irony of this isn't wasted on people.

I make a big deal of the definition of marriage because inherent in the demand for changing it is the implication that sexual orientation is akin race or skin color. Obviously it's not the language but the implication that is behind my vehemence.

Did you, bcglorf, decide to be straight?

Yes.

You are correct in your assertion that homosexuality is not a primary genetic trait, otherwise it would disappear within a few generations. It is likely recessive, triggered with some sort of environmental factor or other random variable.

You understate the science against your view. Many studies have been done on identical twins and the connection between genetic traits and behaviors. Those studies show the same strength of connection between sexual orientation, criminal behavior, addictive behaviors and even religious beliefs.

If you want to say people are just born with a sexual orientation, and choice doesn't enter into it, the science demands the same standard be held to criminals, addicts and ...... religious homophobes.

If we agree on that, then logic can carry us into drawing lines around where those built in genetic dispositions cross the boundaries of intruding on other peoples freedoms and what to do about that.

Never said I did. At least I know that there are other people that are different than me.

Sure it's probably very easy to rob me. I don't live in a bad neighborhood, so I don't expect to have to fight for my safety. My life is more important that material objects that they are after.

If you live in a bad neighborhood, popping out of a corner with a golf club without knowing what you are up to is not the smartest thing. Might work if you hear a silent breaking and entering since they obviously don't want to be heard and you may scare them off. But these officers were LOUD. If you want to protect yourself which you have the right to, maybe pack some heat. Again you have to smart about using it.

>> ^gwiz665:

And you clearly do? If all they yelled were "SEARCH WARRANT" and busted down the door, I don't know what I would have done. If I had lived in a bad neighborhood, why should I believe they were actually cops and not robbers? They didn't even give him a chance to lower his stick or what it was in his hands. They shot him and then said get on the ground.
You must be very easy to rob.
>> ^rellik:
Umm no I would NOT have done the same thing. I would still be in shock and would have complied with whatever was shouted at me. Police or intruder.
You use the term "most people" very lightly and you clearly don't represent "most people".

>> ^gwiz665:
Put yourself in his place. Would you now have done the same thing he did? I would certainly have grabbed something and tried to scare off the intruders. I think most people would have done that, and then most people would have been dead.

That's exactly my point. I would not have figured out what the racket was all about until they breached the door.
>> ^eric3579:

It depends on what he heard. If I was a drug user or dealer living in a house which has the potential to be raided(in the United States) due to drug use or dealing and I heard people screaming police, search warrent. No matter where in the house I was I would drop to the ground hands out and face down. Unless I was sure I could get rid of my drugs first. Thats just what I would do living where I live, and having some expierence with being around drugs and always aware that I could be in a place that could potentially be raided(any place drugs are being bought and sold).
If i had to guess, I think he probably didn't realize it was a raid and just reacted to the screaming he heard outside. The whole thing unfolded in such a short time. He didn't have a chance. Extremely unfortunate and tragic.
