Wow. Has any politician ever done worse than the felon trying to appeal to black voters by going to the NABJ convention and disrespecting all the black journalists in such a thin skinned infantile racist manner the crowd repeatedly burst out in laughter at his little tirades?
Doubled down on his racism against Harris (the same racist “she’s not really black” that you parroted recently among others).
Whined about the terrible treatment by “this…”woman””, and couldn’t hide his disgust at being questioned by a black woman who isn’t cow towing and fawning. Whined that she didn’t start with “hello, how are you”…but in fact she started by thanking him for being there and for his time, another pleasantry, but he had to whine about something.
Rambled incoherently and angrily.
“Whatabout BLM” and “whatabout pro Palestinian protesters” when pressed about his promise to pardon all Jan 6 attackers including those that attacked police, and then said yes he would pardon them.
Completely failed to answer questions like “why should the police officer that shot an innocent woman in the face and withheld medical care get immunity?” Or “why shouldn’t the officers that prosecuted you have immunity?” and “Why should black voters trust you?”.
Also insultingly and rudely pretended to not know what his own racist dog whistle “DEI” means (just like he doesn’t know anything about project 2025 and disagrees with that administration outline he knows nothing about and adopted as his platform) despite using it to describe VP Harris constantly.
Then his team immediately cut the interview at the halfway point at the first project 2025 question because they know he can’t keep it straight whether he’s supposed to be for it or pretend it’s terrible and has nothing to do with him when talking to this group and his answers would tend to prove the former. 😂

He overall really came off 100% racist and unhinged. Why did he go there again? The implosion is spectacular!
He’s already using this unbelievable horrific failure as another reason he won’t debate Harris…and who could blame him? If that’s how he acts when questioned respectfully with uncomfortable facts how will he handle Harris destroying him with facts and vitriol and biting wit? Either way he’s going to show who he is, a racist misogynist criminal who has 10 old talking points to trot out but no ability to think or a massive coward afraid to be seen by the public he needs to support him.

Edit: and he just can’t stop, spending the day tweeting out photos of Harris celebrating the Indian half of her heritage because in his tiny gnat brain a person apparently cannot be both Indian and black! Doubling down on racism isn’t a good look, friendo.
Ooof…the hits keep coming, Biden negotiated a massive prisoner swap with Russia that the felon couldn’t get done when he was president…something the felon said only he could ever get done (but didn’t) and Biden negotiated a 2 for 1 deal…2 political prisoners released for every Russian criminal returned including 5 countries and a 16 for 8 prisoner swap. Conversely, the felon traded deadly arms dealers for a basketball player who actually HAD broken the law by bringing marijuana to Russia.

How long before the Republican Party removes him as the candidate along with JP Mandel?
When Biden had a terrible performance at the debate he stepped aside, but despite this being exponentially worse you know the felon is incapable of any self sacrifice for any reason so what are you going to do? He just cut his black support by 3/4 and ruined any possibility of gaining any back! JD has destroyed support among women, and singles, and childless couples, and anyone who doesn’t support born again Christian sharia law. Project 2025 has destroyed any possible support from fans of democracy or America as a sovereign nation.

I left your whole commentary here, because I make it a practice to delete all comments from my wall. Your essay needs to be saved for posterity.

So here is a quirk of Videosift.

If you are ignoring someone, and they make a comment on one of your videos, you will never get another email saying that comments have been made.

I had no idea of the implosion on that comment stream. Dear god in heaven.

What is really sad is I only wanted a temp ban. I honestly didn't know of @gorillaman's propensities. I am all for second, third and fourth chances -- even though some people have left the Sift in the past because the worst abusers were allowed back. I understood their pain, but I'm still all for more chances. If you love something enough, maybe you will change your behavior. I certainly don't change immediately. I will accord others the opportunity to learn over time.

So no edit help, huh? I think I'll use this:

Much cleaner. Don't need the snark bit. Quote marks. Gotta love 'em. (Quote marks, not parentheses, to denote snark. I'm getting old.)

I didn't address your tendency to tread lightly with me in my first response. I figured it was made up of three things:

1. My early days on the Sift, I had really thin skin. I was easily hurt and upset. One of the biggest gifts to me in my life was learning on the Sift to be clearer and stronger in my communications. And to walk away from the abusers. And to use the ignore button. I figured that my early reactions were in your brain pan still.

2. That tone of voice thing. It is real. What is a simple, clear declarative sentence in my head can be read as a whine-fest by others.

3. I think it is great that you write carefully when you write to me. Keep it up! It's called caring about the person you are talking to. I have zero problem with that. In fact, I see it as a Great Good. (Because if you aren't, and I lay my own internal tone of voice onto your words in a way that doesn't match the words in your head, you will be hearing from me. And I am just as verbose as you, my friend! A punishment worse than death!)

And yes. We are people who hang in there. It is a blessing and a curse.
Well, only a curse to those who roll their eyes and snort "good grief, just shut up!" I'm cool with it.

Thanks for hanging in with me. And I am truly sorry about gorillaman. He did it to himself, though. He did have other choices.

you never give up.

as for your "see something,say something"
yep..that flew right over my head,and i feel silly now because in retrospect that was pretty damn good BB!

but i hold to a general rule when throwing out dry and snarky humor.
do not hold back,the further you go into offensively absurd territory..the better.
and never..ever..feel the necessity to explain the joke.
that is like a magician showing you how he did the trick.

example:
years ago i was dating a wonderful young woman whose family was having a BBQ.her father was a retired NYC detective,grizzled and hardened from years on the streets and stood a whopping and imposing 6'6",and this was to be my first time meeting this legendary figure of a man.

to say i was feeling a tad intimidated is putting it mildly.my sweat was sweating.

so there i am at her parents house,sitting out on the patio pretending to be relaxed and chill,while my insides were finding new ways to tie themselves into knots.a shadow creeps over the patio table and a low rumbling voice asks me..
"you want a beer?"
"no sir,i just do heroin"
..........

....
and then this almost ground shaking rumble breaks the silence..
"heh heh..i think i like you son.you are alright.don't have any heroin,will pepsi do?".

that happened 30 years ago,and while i only dated his daughter for less than a year,he and i remained close friends till the day he died in 2004.

snark/dry humor is the art of the mic drop.

it can go bad,real bad but that usually only happens when you try to temper the joke,reel it back in order to not offend,and in doing so,you take a well meaning joke and make it plausible.so if your gonna do it..go for it..do not hold back.

if i had told mr kepic (that was his name,that and SIR) that i only smoked weed,instead of using heroin as an example.i may have gotten kicked out of his house and told to never see his daughter again,because weed would be an actual possibility,while heroin was so over the top that it was implausible.

hmm..think that was the first time i ever broke down one of my jokes.

I think that's part of what happened. I think democrats thought the same thing back in 2004 with Kerry v Bush. They couldn't conceive that Bush would remain elected so they didn't bother to vote.

I think the main thing though is just the implosion of the Republican party. They've gone so far far far right that they're losing moderate republicans.

The most delicious part is how Nate Silver got lambasted as a political pundit by the right even though he correctly predicted every single state of the union race outcome

It just perfectly illustrates the right being so out of touch with reality.
