Do you... need a hug?

I'm quite proud of one of the creepiest things I've ever said. Best heard without context, but to be fair the context doesn't really improve things.

I was in the middle of hugging a male stranger from behind, and I said "Don't turn around, just enjoy it".

ohhh. I thought from the description that 'you're in luck.' was the worst thing to say mid hug. That would have been better.

Oh, I'd hug that guy. For at least 30 seconds. And then I'd start smelling his hair.

For shits and giggles. I love homophobes.

I know right?

At first I was wondering why he was raising the canopy and planes were coming, then he said he signaled and they put up the flags... by that point I'd have to think the pilots aren't watching the flags, they are watching the guys on their wings and the runway... though obviously not enough attention to the runway... probably not much the guy who crashed into him could have done at that point as he didn't appear to have enough speed to take off and slamming to the side would have taken out the planes on his wings.

So it raises the question, why not use a radio to signal abort the take offs, and not just rely on a flag that might be missed.

At least he gave the guy who crashed into him a hug rather than a knockout for clipping him.

Being a filmmaker, I am fully aware how far from reality they can be. I was attempting to make a lame joke, so I apologize as well. I just assumed bears are aggressive, and walking up to one may not be the best idea. I think I would have a heart attack having to stand ground against a bear, or at least have wetter pants afterwards. Have you ever seen or heard about anyone trying to approach or pet/hug one? I have seen a few folks attempt to get close to elk and bison, and the look of complete shock on their faces after the animal has launched them a few feet in the air gets me every time. I love the title of your blog by the way, a bit bummed I cannot read it.

So, if playing Call Of Duty means you can't hug/love your family, doesn't military service mean the same thing to a much greater degree, so logically those that have served in the military should be shunned and feared?
