Car Hauler Vs Amtrak train

eric3579 says...

The guy trying to get the train to stop by jumping around and hollering is not something you generally see and hear in these type videos. The truck launching into the air is almost movie like.

When your very large boat breaks in half

Holy cow that's scary.

I wasn't sure if people still holler "May day" - interesting to see that they do.

Hopefully everyone got off alright.

Damn Coronavirus! (Health Talk Post)

lucky760 says...

It's probably going to be the worst and getting worster in the USA because there are so many selfish people here who encourage and empower one another to take pride in such brain-dead selfishness.

So many "people" whooping and hollering about their freedom to get infected and to infect others because it's a free country and they won't be told what to do by The Man who just wants to stop people getting infected.

"Happy Happy Joy Joy" - Stinky Wizzleteats - Ren & Stimpy

You are a god, @newtboy.

I LOVE that you remember the things that I remember.

I recently shared this video with some people in their 20s and their blank stares and "wtf is this" responses made me so sad. (I also shared with them the "Fish Heads" music video from the 80s.)

In addition to this bit and so many others, the Mad Dog Hoek episode is one I remember frequently. I wonder if you remember that as well.

I didn't get an email that you hollered. Did you add me as an edit? Just curious if something's borked.

I base it solely on the sifts definition of 'snuff' (the way i read it), and my experience of the history of this site and how snuff has been judged in the past. We have had this debate so many times that i think the dag/lucky should just make the call as this is always somewhat subjective. I'm fine with whatever they think.

Also if @lucky760 finds the content acceptable (not snuff) he can remove my downvote for it was cast due to rule violation the way i see it.

Arizona Rattlers Football-Dancing Player

bareboards2 says...

Turns out the big guy wasn't a football player. He was the choreographer.

Explains his own sexualization.

I get your point, @artician, about women being able to claim their own sexuality -- and their own bodies. I have become a huge fan of Amy Schumer for that very reason.

This kind of crap though -- they aren't claiming their sexuality for themselves, it feels to me. It's some weird "selling" thing where they are the commodity. Besides -- if we are going for equality -- when men sell their sexuality like this, when the only thing we get to see in the media are perfect beautiful men wearing tight clothing and makeup that extenuates their manliness, I won't complain as much.

I think it will be a horribly sad state of affairs that plain men, and fat men, and downright ugly men will no longer be seen on TV. My preference would be that we see plain, and fat, and ugly women in equal proportion to men's roles, and that women have more roles than men's children, wives, mothers, girlfriends.

When the fat guy came out, I sure enjoyed him. And at one point thought -- dang, I'm looking forward to the day a fat woman dancing gets whoops and hollers. (Bless you Melissa McCarthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Two points abaft the beam mast port side was breach of the main deck hull. Jib jab yarr rip rap scowed the anchor, but Jesus only knows why the scuttlebutt was a spanker for the third mate's tailshaft. Iceberg right ahead!

The jib is starting to rip and god only knows why they had the spinnaker pole attached.

As all these giant warnings hollered at you on the video submission form, you should have done that first:

If I did something wrong is was not on purpose. I am not aware of any abuse or violations. It would be helpful if #chicchorea would identify why he has nominated me for banning so that I can correct my post or delete it. In the meantime I will take a look at the posting guidelines.

Explicitly one of the cases for which hobbling was specifically created.

Your videos are no longer just yours, but for the entire community to enjoy. Your "cleaning house" hurts the sift by removing lots of content that was good enough to get published.

Let's holler for @dag and get his input.

10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman

lucky760 says...

I know exactly what this is like. I can't walk to the supermarket without obscene girls whooping and hollering at me from all directions.

I tell them I ain't no hollaback boy.

10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman

Dumdeedum says...

There wasn't a single "innocent" call there, merely some guys thinking they're being more progressive and have a better chance if they holler "nice day" instead of "nice ass".

I've always wanted to take a catcaller and hire lots of gay guys to hit on him all day, just to see the reaction. I suspect I'd have to hire bodyguards too.

Speaking Out On Street Harassment

Barbar says...

#1 - she shouldn't have to put up with it
#2 - something about your argument is itching my brain, and replying is the best way for me to explore it

I think there is a meaningful difference between her and the examples you expanded on. Some fella with low hanging pants isn't trying to look low class. Somebody with tats isn't trying to look like a future fashion victim. A girl that dresses up sexy is usually trying to look sexy. There are a few that pretty much can't help it.

Imagine someone with has a bunch of tats of a band that you like. You can approach him about that, directly, out of the blue, and probably not get a negative response. You could even just holler from across the road, and it's just dandy.

Something makes it unacceptable to acknowledge that the girl did a great job of looking sexy.

Ickster said:

She dressed the way she wanted to. You're the one who decided it made her a slut. What about the way someone dresses gives someone else the right to act like an asshole towards them?

I think the style of wearing your waistband around your thighs is low-class; I think people who wear neckties at work tend to be ass-kissers; I think people who have piercings and/or tattoos all over are fashion victims who will regret their choices in another 20 years.

None of those things gives me the right to make comments to any of them; I may form opinions, but I keep them to myself. Why? Partly because I don't want the conflict--something that guys commenting to women aren't worried about--but also because I know I shouldn't be so judgmental and I try to avoid being an asshole.
