It's almost as if they are afraid of "coming out" - just like some long-term inmates are afraid of getting out of prison.

Dawkins made a short documentary about the audacity of religion, titled, 'God Delusion'. In it he travelled the world and spoke to regional theistic leaders, Sen. Ted Haggard was one of those that he spoke to in the US.

I am an atheist and I used to have a tremendous respect for Dawkins (back when writing was his medium of choice - his books are brilliant and lack the perceived air of condescension most listeners get when they hear his voice.) But, I fear that he is well on his way to becoming the Maury Povich of atheism.

This was just ridiculous.

You got it qm. It should be debated in the siftosphere. I'm guilty of seeing Barak's race, I'll admit that I see him as half black, half white, half christian, half muslim, quarter muslim whatever. Truth be known, I'm open to any alternative to rich old white guys, 'cause look where they got us.

There has been constant criticism of BHO about being an 'empty vessel', but he's always had a big fat .pdf on his website that lays it all out. One thing is clear, and that is that his intent is to bring the big fat pig of corporate interest to the altar and cut it's demon heart out. Or so he says. But Choggie might be right, just another marionette.

As far as judging the man by his pastor, Ted Haggard was Bush's close advisor. So you're right, if that was all over the news, this should be too.

What always bugged me about this scene is Superman's super passive-agression. As if Superman's gonna trip over a pink polar bear rug and drop his glasses in the fire. Obviously he meant to do that. Surprised he didn't pull the ol' "Super-dick in the popcorn" trick.

This was funny, BTW. Now that I've grown up I can see how haggard Margot Kidder was next to Christopher Reeve. I like the way she plays the character, but by the time this movie came around she was no longer as hot as Lois Lane needs to be.

Asking a presidential candidate about past drug use, another meaningless diversion of the media similar to most of the commentary, editorializing, debates, etc. Shadow over substance?? Ask yourselves the next time y'all get all gushy when you hear this multi-ethnic Santa Claus speak so eloquently and confidently, w/o a stutter, about absolutely nothing, stringing neologisms, jargon, and idomatic sentences together with machined precision, exuding self-confidence with a determined, intent expression...."WHAT THE FUCK DOES HE ACTUALLY MEAN???!!"

The man is a goddamn tool......We have only one choice of candidate to choose from at this point-they are all the same, and it's up to y'all cult-of-personality monkeys to chose which brand clabbered, haggard, or maverick. They will all answer to the same folks in charge....

I think I understand what you're saying, rougy. I don't consider this a gay-bashing video in any way. What it mocks, I believe, is the conservative gay community who refuse to come out of the closet because not because of general fear, but because of their loss of status within in their conservative community, a la Larry Craig, Ted Haggard, etc. Basically, the hypocrites.

I would never mock homosexuals just for being homosexuals. I think it's repulsive to do that. I have a gay brother too, so it really angers me when people gay bash.
