Goalkeeper Celebrates too Quick - Ball Spins Back and Scores
I know I'm not privileged enough to invoke such a status but I'm preparing for when I have 100 Stars

Hmm... Some Internet contrarian are saying that an after-the-game penalty kick (such as this) is over when the ball is stopped, and that by stopping the forward motion of the ball this play was dead. The Fifa rule book doesn't seem entirely clear on when such penalty kicks are over. But I think this is definitely a goal and the ball was not stopped.
The penalty kick is stopped once it's forward momentum of the ball is spent. Obviously in this case it wasn't spent...the was no second touch to propel it towards the goal...it just came off and spun in. If the keeper had stopped it completely and then tossed it into the goal it wouldn't have counted.

Heya, Lucky! Kudos for the upvote!
Er, I actually don't know the Diddy quote! I was thinking of Maximus from the movie Gladiator [link] for the "are you not entertained?" yell.

Comment upvote for your P. Diddy quote. Teehee.
From where do you know that quote?

The best part to me is this: Who is he exhorting with his display after the initial stop? Who does he want to cheer?
"YOU THERE! THE BLUE SEAT TWO ROWS IN! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? ARE? YOU? NOT? ENTERTAINED?"

Amazing football goal by Hamit Altintop!
That thing was hit so frickin' hard that even if the goalie had been in front of it it would have taken him right into the net anyway.
Precision +1.
10-Year Old Releases Demon of 55-Year Old Opera Singer
Wraith, please allow me to sum up your point. So what you're saying is, and correct me if I'm wrong, that this little 10 year old girl sings like crap when compared to adult, seasoned opera stars? That's your point? Really? .....Really?
This reminds me of this one time I was at a minor league hockey game. This small child, in one swift motion, got through all 5 of the opposing team's players and then pulled off such an amazing goal that it made the goalie dumbfounded. The entire crowd of parents erupted into cheering and praise for this kid, since he exemplified such a skill level that was far and beyond what he should have at his age. While I was slightly impressed, I made it a point to tell the parents cheering in the crowd that the kid's play is crap compared to Wayne Gretzky.
So I guess I can relate to how you feel.
This Is SPARTA!! - World Cup Style
I actually thought this was a great football game. Finally a game where something interesting happened almost the entire time.
On a semi-related note:
I think they should allow hockey style tackling in football. Would make it a lot more fun to watch and get a lot of the primadonnas out of the game, the-ones-who-fall-over-when-a-rival-is-three-feet-away-and-dies-a-slow-agonizing-death-for-5-minutes-before-they-jump-up-and-happily-run-along-without
-a-scratch... if you earn 100 million a year you should be able to take a bruise or two. Give me the money and that guy can kick me 5 times a day for a year and I would still be a happy camper.
If I remember correctly, and this is a vague memory, it was possible in one of the old rule sets to score a goal by tackling the goalie into the goal when he held the ball. Anyone knows if this is right?
Kitty World Cup!
That white and grey goalie isn't bad, but he needs to stop going so far out of position.
Two Denmark players team up to score for the other team
Awkwark defensive header, but all in all it came down to bad luck and not individual error like from the english goalie.
England's Robert Green fails to block a shot

That was pretty bad.
I'd suggest the game was fixed, but then that goalie may end up garroted in a back alley somewhere.
can you really "fix" clumsiness?
and can you really "fix" the skill of Tim Howard?

Dannym3141, I was watching on vtm, a Flemish station in Belgium.
Ajkido, it's soccer. The live action never stop for commercials. So when they choose to show one goal over and over again, and not another even though the game is tied, it's bias. Their half-time commentators (who were Belgian, not English) were all sitting at a tabled draped in a giant English flag.
Call me crazy, but theyre likely to show the goal where the defence was sliced open by the non-scoring striker allowing the controversial captain to score a good goal rather than the one where the goalie dropped it.

Woody Harrelsons Penalty Shot vs. England
Ahh, okay, my bad, I thought it was a UK rep side.
In that case, gogo Woody. =)

It wasn't a world class goalie. It was a charity event with celebrities and former players taking part and only celebrities took part in the shootout. Jamie Theakston the goalie is a TV host/presenter.
Woody Harrelsons Penalty Shot vs. England
Indeed. Theakston can barely move from what I saw. Most of the match was boring but I managed to see the penalties.

Woody Harrelsons Penalty Shot vs. England
He looked really awkward before and during the shot, maybe it threw the goalie off. Solid shot, though.
