Climbers rope in chipper accident simulation Cal-Line
I remember watching the news about 10 years ago where some 6 year old kid in CT accidentally got pulled thru one of these things. I have a paper shredder that automatically stops if my finger touches the metal paper feed. I wonder if they can add that to these things?

Any Tech knows when there is a heart beat( except those in training or just out of school).
And they will tell you it occurs around 6 to 10 weeks. Fully developed or not a beat is a beat.
When finger develop they are stubs but still they are fingers.
Techs are not Drs but they relay 100% on what the tech say and write.
Not talking about Techs giving a treatment plan ( straw man argument).
Techs report and Dr give treatment options.
( hence high malpractice insurance costs).
Dr may edit and add to the report. IF they spot an error then can edit.
So you mom dragged yo to work and you somehow you became as knowledgeable at them.
My sister used to be a butcher and brought her daughter to work often. This does not make the daughter a butcher or even remotely knowledgeable of the subject.
You bringing up the many any many DR yo u met is irreverent to the argument.
So reading a book makes you more knowledgeable than the ones who see for themself day in day and day out.
( bet you supplement this with lots of YouTube's)
{{If I listen to lots and lots of music and read a few books This will make you smarter than an actual song writer? }} Good logic bud.
Elitist Tool:
What actual hands on knowledge do you fucking have about this topic?
If people who see it daily call it a heart beat, then clearly reading a book is better, because you can't get a heart beat without a heart, and a valveless, chamberless tube isn't a heart.
Jebus. Double negative and heart best? Are you drunk?
I do think +-90% of them know, 10% believe they hear a heart beat because they can now detect a faint nerve signal, but no heart. That 10% are fooling themselves to avoid contradicting their beliefs with fact.
What bubble? Did I say they didn't? That doesn't make them doctors. Lab techs do the same...mri techs, even x-Ray techs in some places. Would you let a tech determine your treatment plan, or even diagnose you without a real doctor involved? They aren't even nurses, they know how to run the machine and spot certain results for further investigation/treatment. The doctors review and often edit the reports. If a report of a 6 week pregnancy talked about the heart, that tech would be let go for incompetence. There is no heart.
Dumb fuck, you asked me how many I've talked to. I answered. Now you act like I brought it up to say I know some, so I am one?! Are you on meth?
Mom worked at Texas Children's hospital and Methodist hospital in Houston, so yes, those specialists and many many many more, and being curious I asked them lots of questions.
Because my mom worked at a childrens hospital means I knew sonographers and ultrasound techs, there's a difference, which was your question. Jesus, you're like Ritalin kid from smoking aces....to yourself you're fighting this amazing fight with spinning kicks and flips so amazing it gets you hard, but to everyone else you're flailing wildly and are just annoying, not a dangerous opponent to be feared or respected.
Drawing strangers on the NYC subway
I was wondering about drying time with the finger painting... might be why there's only one of those (or perhaps the impracticality of wet paints on a moving vehicle).
I wonder how many he has to scrub because they get off the subway before he can finish.

Why does he only grab the stick so late? Whats with the fancy finger waving?

I dont have anything against racing electric cars. I think the endeavour to create a mechanical dolphin is most noble. Its still about pushing the limits.
And yet I find the world where the lion tamer cannot step into the cage, the monkey cannot bite your finger off through the bars and you cannot miss a gear heading out of a corner somehow less worth living than the world of my childhood. Yes the smells too.
Maybe the bears are going to miss riding the motorcycle around the arena. Lions born in captivity would be cargo cultists if set free. Push a button to overtake. Sad.
Huh!?
What's wrong with electric car racing? Electric race cars are already outperforming combustion engine vehicles in multiple arenas, just look at the current Pike's Peak record holder, or Nuremberg. Formula E is easily as exciting as F1. Extreme E races electric off road vehicles through the Amazon. Projekt E brings electric vehicles to top tier rally racing, there are many electric rally series. Pure ETCR is a GT racing series.
Do you miss the noise, or the smell? The racing is actually more exciting thanks to 100% torque at all speeds.
Rick and Morty S5:E1
I'm the opposite, in a sense. I couldn't really get hooked on Futurama. I watched pretty much all the episodes and enjoyed them, but didn't really get attached to any of the characters. However, Rick and Morty keeps me coming back because of the irreverence and the way nothing matters.
Rick and Morty is a middle finger to the universe, to causality, to the notion of object permanence, that suddenly jumps back to remind you of the endless and inescapable human suffering in the middle of it all.
Then again, it's been a fucking rough year. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!

I've modified the way the "are you here or did you leave" logic fires, so when your browser tab is idle, it hopefully won't have the "entered/left/entered/left/..." problem anymore.

Meme Stars Battle It Out - SOUTH PARK
The deaths were a plot by Charlie bit my finger.
Jyoti Ram
If he's doing it the way I think he's doing it, he has some invisible string set up to an anchor point somewhere. I want to know how he's doing the circling of it with his hands and fingers without flicking the string.
It's a really cool illusion.
Balancing those sticks up at an angle blows my mind along with the floating crystal ball.
Before Are "Friends" Electric?
My dad has this attachment to 50s rock and roll and he rightly believes everything in pop music was invented in the 50s and possibly the 60s.
I remember most of these songs (the british ones) coming out and me being fascinated by what could be done differently to what was then the mainstream. However pop quickly devolved through the 80s and I found myself meandering back in time, from late to early Talking Heads, from late to early Genesis and Floyd and Yes and Jethro Tull and Mike Oldfield and Fleetwood Mac, discovering the Beatles and the Beach Boys were actually good at some point, finding out Frank Zappa was a thing and discovering that yes, the guy who made late 20th century pop music up in his garage, with his searches for new sounds and writing his own music and lyrics was indeed one Buddy Holly in the 50s.
Anyway I found myself listening to a rather childish track by Basement Jaxx years later and could not quite put my finger on what made that one track work for me. All these bands that only have one really good track... Anyway what was going on was a Gary Numan sample.
So I went back and listened to some of this old stuff and I was really surpised that some of it still works.
But back in 1980 if you heard Numan, early Midge Ure Ultravox minus the ubiquitous title track of the album, Visage, or a couple of years later the Eurythmics you would hear a sound that was strikingly new and different.
Thinking back Peter Gabriels 3rd solo album (although itself very electronic) took me out of the electronic pop bandcamp and more into alternative rock. That and lucking into a friend who had an older brother who had all the old Genesis records also as sheet music including lyrics. That or David Byrne.
The main point is the music you like is the music you liked when you were 13.
Testing Your Metal
I was riding the bus in Paris, and all the streets in Paris were designed for anorexic horses in the 17th century and fuck you for trying to fit your fat-ass 21st century car down them -- much less a huge city bus. So we're squeezing down this street and we come across a moving truck blocking the road. I, as an America, am awaiting horns, swearing and automatic weapon fire. Instead, the driver stops the bus, turns it off, hops off and goes and has a smoke. The people in the bus were being totally French about it: not a murmur of complaint.
Two years later, I was in Canada and some dude cut off a taxi at a light. Out hops the taxi driver to confront the driver of the other car. I start scanning for my exit once pop-pop-pop / muthafuckas drop gets underway. Instead of a spray of bullets, or at least an amusing fist fight, the taxi driver shakes his finger at the guy and gets back in his cab.
I live in mortal fear of getting shot on the road in America over some stupid bullshit (this actually happened to me once: some asshole in Cupertino cranked off three rounds at my car when I accidentally cut him off). It's so amazing to visit civilized countries and see people acting decent and calm to each other.
Biggest Little League Cheating Scandal Ever
Lol. Hardly the biggest or worst. Many many times teams were disqualified for exactly the same thing, often with far more ineligible players and without redistricting agreements. Teams used corked bats, teams used over age players, teams threw games to avoid playing other teams, teams recruited kids from the Dominican, lied about their age and residency, and even forged birth certificates.
What is it about this team that makes @bobknight33 want to claim they’re the worst? Hmmmmm? I just can’t put my finger on it, but something obviously “colored” his opinion....
Here’s a few real cheating scandals, not just gerrymandering, which if it’s horribly wrong should disqualify most Republican representatives and senators since it’s how republicans have retained seats when they have far fewer votes.
The Ugly Truth Behind the Will Ferrell G.M. Commercial
Finger-pointing's great and all, but I'm just optimistic about the future.
California passed a law that only zero-emission vehicles can be sold as of 2035, the same year GM vows to be selling only zero-emission vehicles.
Republicans Try to Dismiss Trumps Second Impeachment Trial
As much of a fuck up Trump turned out to be, it really isn't going to happen. I believe, as does about half of the legal scholars, that once the President has left office there are other methods to go after him other than impeachment. Impeachment is for a sitting President.
If you want to go after him for Treason/Sedition in a Federal court, feel free, just quit wasting time with an impeachment that may not be constitutional and that will never happen. Plus, instead of focusing on pushing the stimulus, you are both giving Republicans an excuse to fight you on everything and showing moderates that you are more concerned with vengeance than fixing the country. That is not going to help you out in 2022, mark my words.
Thankfully all the brouhaha is keeping the government focused well away from guns. Crossing my fingers that Dems are stupid enough to kill enough time on Trump stuff that we can take back the House/Senate.
Let's talk about Trump's accomplishments...
I'm just glad he didn't start an Iraq type war with Iran. Hoping the new administration won't either. Fingers crossed.
