Living person placed in a body bag for cremation
In Hong Kong (where I was born), a majority of seniors are reluctant to vaccinate even amid its deadliest 5th wave of Covid (blame anti-government sentiment, doctors ruling against vaccinating seniors & sensational media fear-mongering of rare vaccine side-effects over logical thinking, facts & mathematical probability) brought me to think that many of them have a death wish anyway. It's kind of a cultural thing.
This person doesn't care one way or the other.
Guess who for 5 power points.

Not everything, just known racists. (Like yourself). You just pretend you aren’t, possibly even convincing yourself (you are gullible enough to believe you) but your consistency tells a different story.
Edit: remember, you recently declared yourself totally not sexist, then 20 minutes later declared your support for MGTOW….a sexist group/movement I had to look up. Your racism is the same thing, you declared yourself a non racist, but your positions belie (contradict, prove false) that claim.
When you compare two similarly bat shit crazy people, chastising one, and the only known difference is their skin color, it sounds racist.
When you ALWAYS take the side of the white guy, even when their insanity and death wish is stronger, even when the white guy has committed terrorism (not this time, but many before like your comparisons of Jan 6 vs BLM) it’s a good indicator you are choosing based on skin color, or in the common parlance, by “race”.
So ignorant and consistently racist. When have you EVER taken the non white side when it wasn’t based on political affiliation? Not once I can recall, and my recall is fairly good as you know.
Dude wasn’t a Democrat, he was an absolute nut job. You’re listening to OAN again who tells you he’s leftist with no evidence of that beyond skin color. He hated both parties…he hated people…you might say he was an ecologist, but that’s absolutely not the same thing. He was a total racist and believed in segregation, that would make him a right winger.
Edit: He also posted many videos criticizing New York’s Democratic mayor, another indication he was more likely a right wing nut.
The other “nuke us” nut IS a Trumpist, not even an odd one. He’s your brand, not an outlier. Angry, violent, insane, and with the mindset “my way or the highway to hell”. That is what your party, and the right wing stand for….and nothing else, just hatred of the “others”.
Always ready to show off your partisan dishonesty and ignorance Bob. Anything to try to insult those you’re talking to. Such a little troll you are.
Why is it that leftest see everything as racist?
So narrow minded.
When you see a white man walking a black dog you see it as racist.
Nothing racist in yesterdays NY subway shooting. Just a radical leftest drinking the fake news Kool Aid.

Speeding takes no skills, just a death wish and a total disregard to their passengers' safety in these instances.
I speed a lot, but I don't rage/race, that takes no skills, just a higher EQ.

So... having an armed guard didn't deter this shooter... and this shooter, unlike many others, did not have a death wish, he went peacefully once found.
It's impossible to know how many shootings ARE deterred by armed guards.
But, we can know how many school shootings were stopped by armed guards... My quick search shows one shooting was stopped by an armed guard just days after, but nobody seems to have any statistics on how many armed guards stop shootings... If you're going to make the assertion that "guards are effective at engaging threats", you need to show numbers. Certainly, with as many politicians who want this to be the solution, and with the monumental rise in school shootings over the last decade, there should be someone, somewhere, capturing metrics on this sort of thing.
My position: Schools have a hard time paying teachers a reasonable salary... I doubt they're going to be getting top-of-the-line security guards... They'll be hiring retired, ex-military cooks who've had weapon training but never been shot at.
The narrow case (one guard failing to execute his duty) does not negate the broad case (that guards are effective at deterring and engaging threats).
I can't believe I have to point this out. On videosift no less. I'm flabbergasted.

The Most Costly Joke in History
The F-35 can do everything better than any other plane. It's weapons are better, it's senors are better, and it's communication and situational awareness is much better. Thanks to the stealth, it has better survivability.

The only area it has some disadvantages in performance are the acceleration and maneuverability. Which is a small disadvantage, it still accelerates incredibly fast, just slower than a lighter plane, which is just physics. But it's not a slouch by any means. Plus the maneuverability is still being worked on, it's all fly by wire and they can do some really magic things with those systems once it's all tuned. They haven't started pushing it to the limits yet from what I've heard. (and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this whole "our plane sucks" thing was another tactic of spreading misinformation).
Here's the other thing. The F-16 can out maneuver and out accelerate the F-35. But every Russian fighter can out accelerate and out maneuver the F-16, anyway. Yet the F-16 always comes out on top. Why is that? Superior sensors, weapons, comms and tactics.
The F-35 is the best plane to achieve air superiority, because not many pilots have a death wish. Air combat is about survival, not about kills. Even in the Gulf war, the Iraqi's didn't want to fly against the F-15s because they knew they'd get just get shot down. They never even took off. So imagine how they would feel against a plane that can't be detected, let alone locked onto. A plane that can lock onto you and fire without you knowing. Not a good feeling knowing that at any moment you could explode without warning.
The A-10 is bullet proof, but not missile proof. It's a sitting duck against shoulder mounted IGLA's. Only the cockpit is bullet proof BTW which is great for the pilot, but not so great for the rest of the plane
I agree that the F-35 for the current war is overkill, but electronics and technology keeps getting cheaper day by day, and in 10 years time, even the current enemies will start buying more sophisticated systems. It's better to be prepared. As being reactionary like in WW2 and Vietnam was quite costly to the lives of allied forces. The F-35 will probably be in service for another 30 years, so it needs to try to meet as many requirements as it can for that time period, until the next plane comes out shooting lasers instead of missiles.
Also close air support these days is already done mostly by soft skin planes like the F-16. So not much difference there. Apart from the expense I guess. It's not low and slow either. You have a plane fly at such speed and high altitude the people on the ground never even know about it.
If you feel like it I'll give you a game of DCS World some time. It's a free flight sim (also used to train US national guard and other nations too). It really demonstrates the value of good sensors and weapons over flight performance
Now when it comes to being a waste of money, only time will tell. I guess either way it's win win though, because if there is no conflict that needs this plane it's only a good thing. And if there is a conflict we have the plane ready. But for the time being it really does seem like it's a waste of money. A lot of money, especially in a time of debt.
Versatility is great, but I think they tried to do everything and failed to do anything well. Having multiple skills is different from trying to be a Jack of ALL trades.
Personally, I much prefer bulletproof to 'invisible', since there's no such thing as invisible, just hard to see.
Again, that's the plan, but it can't do that today. When acting as 'close air support', it is visible and in danger from ground and directed air fire, going slow, and is slow to get going fast again. Also, close air support is not just dropping bombs, that's more medium-long range.
No, the F-35 is the worst plane for 'full air superiority' because it's far too expensive, and we won't have enough of them to control the smallest skies for years/decades, and even then they'll be to valuable to use that way.
Yes, it seems like insane overkill to be electronically invisible to fight against people who barely have electricity. Even against the most advanced ground to air systems, our current planes were doing fine. I don't see the need for this in the foreseeable future, just the desire for better, more expensive toys.

Rider videotapes his near-death escape
So as a point of pedantry....he could have totally made that corner if he had stayed off the brakes kept a steady throttle and leaned harder to the left (he was on course to make the corner if the car hadn't startled him). Braking is almost never the right thing to when in or leaving a corner, it just stands the bike up and sends you wide.
Target fixation is a bitch!
However, solid white lines mean no overtaking/crossing to the opposite lane for good reason (the entire manoeuvre was technically illegal here in the UK because of said solid lines). It was foolish to even attempt what he did there and doubly so if you haven't mastered proper corner control/reactions to be able to deal with the unexpected effectively (which he clearly had not as evidenced by the vid).
All of that said, we all make mistakes. This chap might normally be a better rider than he appears here and simply made a poor judgement call entering that corner which resulted in him panicking and having to bail. (He may also have been a retard with too much power and a death-wish. Those guys are definitely around)
Also Re: @Darkhand and @bcglorf
Bikes very rarely kill car drivers. It's generally only a side on collision with a door that can do that and even then only at serious speed. Bikes rarely weigh over 250kg and most sports bikes are sub 200kg. They simply don't carry anything like the kind of energy a car would even at 100mph+.
I'm not saying it's impossible but it would be very unlikely here. He however could have easily broken his neck if he'd hit the car head on. My brother had a head on with a car about a year ago at 60-70ish (combined) and fractured his (fortunately made a complete recovery since).
Bikers are almost always a far bigger danger to themselves than anyone else. This was reckless but mostly for himself.
I suspect however that lessons were at least learned!

I have mixed feelings regarding cycling enthusiasts. The ones who see the world as a polluted shit-hole because of cars, who dress in biking-gear and ride to work everyday and don't own a car, the SAME people who obsessively recycle their garbage and preach about it to others (as if the world would be a better place if everyone "recycled").
It's THESE insects, OCD, tweakers that I can't stand, self-absorbed, self-righteous gimps on two skinny wheels.
Add to that description the DICKHEADS that preach cycling-over-automobiles who intentionally stick their ass in the center of the road while conducting traffic and talking smack to drivers sharing the road with Professor Suicide??
THOSE motherfuckers, can moisturize my ballsack.
I had an old roommate who died in San Francisco during a Critical Mass ride, the poor fucker got creamed by a truck driver who was ALSO a dickhead, of the opposite persuasion.
I certainly believe that anyone who chooses a bicycle as their only means of transportation who do so in a large cities where the majority of people commute to work from rural areas in cars everyday, have a fucking death wish.
San Fran, NYC, Chicago, Philly?? No problem. Any city where cyclists are not very prevalent on the roadways, yer an idiot plain and simple.
And typical non-cyclist response. Nothing new to see here either.
All I see is a bunch of assholes who honk at me, try to hit me on purpose (one intentionally ran me over), and hundreds of people a day with absolutely no respect for someone else's life. And all that happened while in the bike lane. Oh, the guy who ran me over? He hit me because I WAS obeying traffic laws. Both the person behind him and the officer both concurred.
So yeah, nothing new to see here, right?
