Kettle Filling Fail

chingalera says...

Cheap seats here, your concerns' as over my head as the reference...Besides, it's perfectly fine to be as politically incorrect when using the adjective "white" with the noun "people" - My sensibilities, having spent most of my life in the United States south around too many white people concentrated in certain areas, afford me a perspective that places all the white races' regardless of adopted creeds or delusions, in the "poke-fun-at-me" box...That, and the fact that my own Euro-mutt origins place me in the historic line of fire

The Evolution of MechWarrior: 1989 - 2012

00Scud00 says...

Free or not, it still doesn't offer what I want, which is a singleplayer campaign, I can't help it, I'm just an antisocial gamer. (actually, if I was really antisocial I'd log on to servers and shoot my teammates in the back with an AC20.)
The article was interesting but I like some of the other commentators I have to wonder if making a singleplayer campaign would really require the kind of investment he's talking about. Now if you're shooting to be the next Halo, Call of Duty, of Assassins Creed then I suppose you might be looking at those kinds of numbers but games have been made on less and were still successful.

Mechwarrior Online is free, so there is that as a small plus. I haven't spent a cent on it yet. They do want to add single player, or at least some PVE at some point. (http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/10/16/piranha-single-player-mechwarrior-online/)

Not really....If ya wanna critique, these folks are way too white...seeing them perform does little justice to their efforts filmed or otherwise embodied in recorded tracks on YT with a wannabe clever album cover...To Me, they strain at sucking and are incurably Caucasian....That coming form a white boy, that makes and loves music....these dweebs' sound make my skin crawl for an escape hatch away from hipsters...:)

And since you love em so much, i guess i need to copy this review to one of their sifted viddies (probably pimped by you or another incurable white person with no ear for talent) straining for attention....Yeah. Pretty much recoil from their sound and vibe altogether, they embarrass their creed and associative alliance with blood kin, wish they'd stop trying !

Fuck the Catholic Church and their woman-hating, backward thinking creed. This story makes me physically sick.

Agreed, when will people realize that their religious views DON'T MATTER when it comes to peoples health. This is about women having rights to THEIR OWN BODIES and being able to take responsibility for THEIR OWN HEALTH.

Overly Attached Computer

Looks like an attempt at a viral ad for Samsung's latest SSD (Solid State Drive) model 840.
The perfect upgrade for the user who doesn't use their computer much anymore, because it's just so darn slow with that old hard drive. If I was a computer I would demand one of these also.

Edit: They're giving away copies of 'Assassin's Creed 3' with this drive. Heavy marketing push.

Mormons Don't Believe in the Trinity

deedub81 says...

In 325, the Council of Nicea set out to officially define the relationship of the Son to the Father, in response to the controversial teachings of Arius. Led by bishop Athanasius, the council established the doctrine of the Trinity as orthodoxy and condemned Arius' teaching that Christ was the first creation of God. The creed adopted by the council described Christ as "God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance (homoousios) with the Father."

Mormons reject the Nicene Creed, believing that Jesus Christ was the first born of the Father in spirit and the only begotten in the flesh. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches that God the Father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are one Godhead while remaining 3 distinct beings. The Father and the Son have glorified physical bodies, while the Holy Ghost has only a body of spirit.

The word "Trinity" does not appear in the Bible
The word "Trinity" was first used by Tertullian (c.155-230)
The doctrine of the Trinity is commonly expressed as: "One God, three Persons"
The doctrine is formally defined in the Nicene Creed, which declares Jesus to be: "God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father."

Facts about the doctrine of the Trinity:
It is not mentioned in the Bible
It does not make philosophical sense
It is not compatible with monotheism
It is not necessary in order to explain the "specialness" of Jesus

In Matthew 3:16-17 of the KJV of the New Testament we read an account that includes all 3 members of the Godhead:

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mormons assert that Jesus was not speaking to himself about being pleased with himself, but rather that God the Father was pleased in His son Jesus for being baptized while the Spirit of God descended upon Him (Jesus). This statement also implies that it (The Holy Spirit) was not there beforehand.

John 17:20-21 “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us”

Mormons believe that it is that perfect unity between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost that binds these three into the oneness of the divine Godhead.

“And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Never Before Seen Footage of Secret Mormon Temple Rituals

shinyblurry says...

There are probably a few people like Fletch here who feel the way he does; grew up in the church without ever discovering that there is a real God who actually loves them. This video on Mormonism demonstrates the emptiness of that kind of religion, that it is actually just some kind of sad farce. Rituals and creeds can't change a mans heart; only God can do that. I found a video on youtube just a little while ago for a book someone is promoting on this very subject. I've never read it but it seems like it would be helpful for anyone who has been through the rigors of religion but never found a personal relationship with God.
