J.R. Majewski…..ROTFLMFAHS!!! Stolen valor isn’t the best campaign. Dumped.

JD Vance….AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! Suckers…he’s an elite. D’oh!

For all his “I’m one of you” “I’m anti elite” schtick he’s really a billionaire’s protege with more money spent by one billionaire on his campaign than any single donor ever spent on one candidate, over $16 million. Most if not statistically all his support has come from billionaires….they don’t support people who don’t repay them 10 fold.
His campaign is based on fighting elites and ruling class, but gets all his funding from those people.
Claims to be against big pharma, then hires a pharma employee to head his plan.
He complains about gas prices and takes millions from companies convicted of price gouging gasoline in California.
He complains about big tech stealing your data but owns part of Hallo which is a prayer app that steals your data and sells it for $60 a year.

Peter Thiell, his benefactor and mentor, is a billionaire nut that thinks the military should be in charge, not government. He is blatantly anti democratic, saying he doesn’t believe democracy and freedom are compatible. He’s given $16 million to the guy who SAYS he’s against elites.

MAGA candidates are being exposed as the total pure frauds and morons they are all across America. Your idiot movement is dead. 😂

PS- Trump is having more special master problems because none of the companies that electronically host discovery documents for cases like this (e-discovery vendors) will contract with Trump because they all expect him to not pay them. This means the government will be forced to contract with them and have the judge force Trump to pay or be in criminal contempt.

Viral How Much Did Your Divorce Cost

BSR says...

I got married right after high school. We were together for 4 years. It just wasn't working. We just weren't compatible. So we went our separate ways and never saw or talked again to this day.

We have had a perfect marriage for about 45 years. Never got a divorce. She's happy. I'm happy. Our marriage is working! Ya gotta do what you gotta do to make it work.

VLDL: Getting a USB in first time - USB

spawnflagger says...

well, USB1 certainly beat the pants off PS/2 ports and connectors which it replaced.
USB-C was supposed to fix the upside-down problem, but introduced a lot of compatibility confusion (now there's a dozen different cables that all look the same, but aren't compatible)

Khufu said:

It is interesting that it SHOULD be 50% chance but it's more like 1% for some reason. probably because any bit of resistance from a wrong angle, rotation, wrong port, can feel like it's because you have it backwards, so you turn it around, then it IS backward... just a poor design that is enduring.

White supremacist Kenosha County Sheriff david beth

moonsammy says...

Can you re-watch the video and explain who he was saying should be locked up? What crimes are concerning to him? The notion that anyone should be "warehoused" without recreational time should be appalling to any American. That's clear excessive punishment.

I don't doubt the guy honestly believes that locking away certain people would improve society. It's just that America doesn't work that way, and what he's saying goes directly against what this country is supposed to stand for. We have absolutely reached the point where you either support Trump and what he stands for (fascism, straight up and no longer even slightly disguised), or you support the Constitution and what America is supposed to be. They're not compatible.

Nothing racist about this statement.

Stating that there is a need to lock up bad people. Only fools would disagree.

Unreal Engine's Human CGI is So Real it's Unreal

ravioli says...

What this company (snapperstech.com) did is put together an upgraded control "rig" to manipulate facial expressions, taking into account muscle limits and interactions, skin elasticity, etc.

A little more info in the video's YT desc :
-Adaptive rig: which allows combining any number of expressions using optimized list of blendshapes.
-Real facial muscles constraints: the advanced rig logic simulates real facial muscles constraints.
-Advanced skin shader (for Maya and Unreal): holds up to 16 wrinkles maps and 16 dynamic diffuse maps with micro details and pores stretching.
-Easy to manipulate using facial controllers and/or GUI.
-Compatible with all game engines and animation packages.
-Smooth transition between all the expressions.
-Adjustment layer: freeform manipulation of multiple regions of the face to create unlimited variations of the same expression.

The real-time rendering part is achieved by the Unreal engine itself. The final rendering performance still relies mainly on the hardware used.

ChaosEngine said:

Yeah, the real-time aspect of it is insanely good, although I'd still like to know how much of the rendering budget it takes up, i.e. is this usable in a game or just a research project at the moment?

What do you mean by "only one modifier is being applied"? Which is my other criticism of the video; a voiceover explaining the tech would have been more interesting than the music.

I don't believe that "multiple modifiers" would make this look better, for the simple reason that if you're demoing a technology like this, you end with ALL the bells and whistles to make it look as good as possible.

the hypocrisy of women refusing to date short men

entr0py says...

I think choosing who you want to make sweet love to is the one area where it's completely fine to discriminate in whatever way you want. Having a sexual orientation isn't sexism, not dating the elderly isn't ageism. Even more shallow things like preferring certain body types or certain races is fine, because the alternative is to lie about what attracts you, which is not actually a kind thing to do.

What really pisses me off is guys who somehow feel entitled to dates from women who aren't interested. Just find someone you're compatible with, there is no "correcting" people's sexual preferences.

As for the better point of women being hypocritical because they don't want to be judged on their weight, I think they're smart enough to know that happens, but it does seem crass to ask for exact measurements. The main difference is women believe most men don't mind being asked their height, and men know most women do mind being asked their weight.

So men, own up to your height insecurity whenever possible so that women will be more sensitive in the future.

Post-Truth: Why Facts Don't Matter Anymore

Spacedog79 says...

We live in a society that is still reliant on necessary lies to be functional. For example that the wars in the middle east are not about oil, or that working every hour of your day until you die is the key to happiness. Until we can solve our energy problem (eg with thorium) and our socially destructive economic issues then lies and fake news will inevitably rule over reason because reason is not compatible with our necessary lies.

Muslims are already killing Americas on our soil while the Japanese interned were not killing Americans on our soil.

Why do we need 15 gov agencies ?

France keeps letting these not compatible citizens into its own country at its own peril.

Just say no to Muslims!

Crash Course Philosophy - Compatibilism

entr0py says...

I'm glad he made the point that internal causes can't be separated from external causes. If you believe in determinism then you have to realize that before your birth everything that you will do was determined, but none of it was internal. And once you are born, how then do you become culpable for the initial state of the universe?

I agree with compatibilists on the broad point that determinism is largely compatible with holding people responsible for their actions. But I think they're too hung up on the idea of moral responsibility. Even without thinking anyone is the author of their own actions, it's still wise to lock people up who are an immediate threat to others, or use measured punishment as a deterrent, or hope to change future behavior with treatment programs. The only thing you don't get to do is be vindictive and cruel, thinking the perpetrator deserves to suffer. But I've never believed in punishment for the sake revenge anyway.

Computer Nightmares, China USB hub kills PC by design

chaos4u says...

All you mac people are so snowed or blind or just desperately trying to justify your money being wasted on a inferior product.

any thing can be done faster on a proper pc (proper meaning it uses the latest processor memory ssd and graphics card)

but the trouble comes from people when they get on pc they get cheap and expect to do their video editing in virtual dub (not knocking vdub by the way)

or try and find some other video tool they can use for free . they wont buy a proper video editing software package nor will they buy proper software tools for their jobs . they try and use free alternatives or try and pirate the software.

but when they use mac they by the video editing software and the tools they need .

it is such bs, macs are weaker hardware weaker operating system and a weaker overall tool . but since people have invested so much money into them they unjustly justify there purchases by derailing the pc as a lesser platform.

when it is not true.

pcs, can have dedicated storage that outperforms and also stores more than any mac can dream of .

pcs can be all self contained no need for plethora of external drives hanging form 4 may be 3 or is it 2? soon to become one port hanging off your mac in a needless chain of wires.

pcs can have higher resolution and better monitors better user input, better configuration options, and backwards and forward compatibility with previous and next gen software.

but no, mac users over shadow this with the base argument that their $1500 mac is some how better than the $300 desktop they love comparing to .

but when it becomes price point vs hardware mac users have no ground to stand on as they are using , even in their newest machines 3+ year old hard ware and even on a refresh they are already 1 year behind in technology.

mac is nothing more than a placebo for those who failed at using windows computers .

they constantly compare a custom 1500 dollar computer with a locked in user experience to a 300 dollar walmart special with a completely open user experience and lament the windows based product as inferior.

when in actuality it is the mac that is the inferior product.

did you know that your $2000++ mac has a 5400 rpm hardrive in it configured to work with 128gb ssd in such a way that if either of the two fail your entire data set is trashed?

yeah ... thats a well built product .

The Most Costly Joke in History

RFlagg says...

It has seem a joke for an overly long time. When you can buy every homeless person in this country a $600k mansion for the money we've spent on this thing one has to wonder why are Forget buying a homeless person/family a big mansion, get them a permanent starter home (my part of Ohio, super nice new family homes are $150k, starter homes are well under $100k), job training, and voila, not only far less money spent then is spent on homeless shelters, but they are now trained workers, in a home, and we've still save far more than this program.

Wasn't the F-22 canceled because this was supposed to save us money? That and the inability to export it... which raises the question are we wanting to build the best aircraft for our defense or a plane that we can sell, because those are not super compatible. Yes the F-15 and F-16 are both aging designs, but this program so far doesn't seem to be the answer. Heck, the B-52 fleet is scary old and there doesn't seem to be any real replacements for it.

One of the supposed tasks of the F-35 is to provide a sensor rich environment for other aircraft to operate in, providing these other craft with sensor data, but this task seems best dealt with using drones. Why I question the use of drone strikes (at least as used now), a drone flying though the field providing rich sensor data for the follow up fighters and bombers seems to be a perfect role for drones.

At this point the program is probably only going on because we've spent so much on it that turning back will be seen as a bigger waste than going forward.

Bernie's New Ad. This is powerful stuff for the Heartland

bobknight33 says...

Most of the audience looks like young kids who have yet to really know what life is really about - and it is not Socialism.

The rest of the audience look like left over hippies from Bernie era - still hoping for HOPE and CHANGE. guess they did not find it on Obama.

Bernie's ideas, like ISLAM are not compatible with the Constitution.

With Hillary getting ready for perp walk in her new orange jumpsuit Joe Biden better start getting his crew together.

How to DMT

newtboy says...

Good read.

That's kind of the 'permanent damage' I meant, but I'm really thinking of the reverse from what they focused on. They were mostly talking about positive mental changes (more 'openness') that were lasting or permanent, I was thinking about the negative mental changes that can happen after a 'bad trip', like fear, anxiety, and distress, which can also be long lasting or permanent. I was also thinking about people who's brain chemistry is just not compatible with DMT (or whatever it might be cut with if bought on the black market) who might have physical, brain chemistry issues exacerbated or caused outright.

I'm also partially thinking of those who commit suicide either during or after taking DMT. That's pretty permanent.

interesting read.
they are finally researching the therapeutic benefits of psychedelics.
so when newt talks about possible permanent damage, this is what i think he is referring.
