If you think looking at tit's is a sexual advance I would imagine you live in northern Alaska where other "people" aren't even near you. How do you walk around in society? Do you dictate what everyone is allowed to look at? If you really "treat people as people" you should tolerate what other people decide to set their eyes upon. Just watched it two weeks ago and I thought it was much better than the reviews gave it credit for. However, I do agree with some of the critics' comments. For example, I felt the romance was forced plus the kiss scene just felt off to me--it would have been more natural if they had just been friends in this film and they saved the romance for a sequel.

There were also some just plain weird scenes--Superman flies to his Mom's rescue but only plows down Zod while leaving his mom alone with five or six of Zod's officers...wtf?

I tried showing the movie to my 2.5 year old (she likes action movies) but the fighting and effects were a bit too realistic for her and she got too scared to watch it. Star Wars (the prequels and the Clone Wars series) are more her speed.

No, I can't read Chinga's posts anymore so I don't know that. I had to ignore him for my own sanity. It's rarely a comprehensible point anyway, and I have no idea if I make his point (if he really has one) or not....nor do I care either way. I kinda saw it as being presented as comedy that becomes tragedy that becomes horror. Dark stuff. Sagemind hit the nail on the head for me. And thanks shatterdose, but I did know about the AP thing. I saw an earlier bit that was on the Daily Show or Conan (or both) on the sift that was a very similar view of the news as press release reading pod-clones. I was TFWO by that vid too.

But even though I know the apparent reason for why this content exists, in droves, my initial statement still stands: What, the actual, fuck?!!

It's not so much lazy comedy as it is a poignant statement on Scripted News, it shows even the banter on these shows is fake. Talentless clones, schlepping out a script. It's not news, it's fully scripted TV programming. These guys are not journalists, they're actors toting a script just like on any other TV comedy or drama.
It's clips like these that let us see the absurdity of it all. It lets you know that these genuine news personalities, are in fact not genuine at all.
