I see what you mean with the new layout. The colors completely detach the description from the video. I'd recommend changing back to the old VideoSift layout* You won't regret it and you can always switch back if you choose to.

This is controlled by software, which can be tweaked... the whole point of having test pilots fly the thing. These jets are fly-by-wire as they are bricks-in-the-sky compared to a standard plane so they need automated assistance to fly the plane like 'arcade' mode in a video game. And if you've ever beta-tested a flight-sim you'll know they start off shit and eventually get better as they are refined.

On the top header scroll over your name and a drop down menu will appear that contains 'edit your video'.

You can also just decide to use the old sift by going to the bottom of the page and clicking 'beta opt out'. Voila, no more mucking around with the new clunky design

You could always find the beta version that lacks story & is a short -beta- version and decide from there if you want the full thing

Initially saw this as a TF2 rip-off but actually pretty excited about it now having seen the streams of the closed beta.

A lot of concepts borrowed from TF2 sure, but also plenty of new ability and weapon ideas. The ultimates as clutch abilities and more tightly knit maps give it a different feel.

Also happy to see it's not free to play and it has been promised future heroes will be free. Suspect they'll probably still have some form of gameplay based DLC but it could be worse.

The misandry is stupid

This is one of those games that I think you just kinda have to have in your collection if you're a gamer of a certain age. I think it will probably be fun for the first 20 hours or so (based on my beta experiences) and then most people will probably move on to other things... until they get that Star Wars itch again and come back for a couple of rounds.

As long as nothing is completely broken at launch, I don't see how they won't sell millions of this even if most people stop playing regularly after the first two months.

That is just goddamn awesome..... but the beta was kinda meh.... so torn

Beta was fun! It got old playing the same map. People eventually found annoying advantages like getting an at-st right at the start and stomping/shooting rebels as they spawned. But yes, the sound effects/music alone made the game.

still pretty beta, IMHO.

There's a day 0 patch (firmware update) for the controller, which you have to apply from the host PC before it can even pair with the Steam Link.

I enjoyed the beta. It had a lot of room for improvement, yes, but the core was solid. And good damn, it looked like a million bucks, and ran pretty smoothly.

I disabled beta because I could not easily find a way to access the playlists menu, which I still use. I eventually found it hiding waaay up in the corner next to the tiny favourite <3, and the tiny video length time, and tiny view count.
I don't know why these elements are separate from other information like channels and tags. It makes no sense to me to separate them.

The top bar should be for things that are standard across the sift. Putting video specific information up there breaks the hierarchy.

On the front page each video does not have uniform space. If a video is Long, the tag is inserted there, creating more space between the Long video and the next when scrolling down. Short/Long/NSFW tags shouldn't mess with formatting like this.
