I love the beat to this, it's a rework of Art of Noise - Moments in Love. The lyrics... well it's the usual shit.

This from the 1984 Brian De Palma film "Body Double" with Craig Wasson and Melanie Griffith. A total homage/rip-off of every Alfred Hitchcock film plot used.

Art of Noise included portions of its other songs in this one. When Tome Jones says “Think I better dance now” there is some music from “Close to the Edit,” “Dragnet” (their version) and “Peter Gun” (their version).

Wikipedia says that this video won an MTV groundbreaking award in 1989.

With all the interest in videos about a corporate-run world, I was hoping to find a clip from the “Max Headroom” sci-fi show. There isn’t any yet, but I did find this Letterman interview, a music video with “Art of Noise” and New Coke commercials (just before Coke Classic was released).

Max Headroom started as a music video host on British television before the sci-fi series. Doonsbury turned Ronald Reagan into a Max Headroom character for while too.
