How about multiplying vocals for harmonic effect, speeding up or slowing down the vocals, echoes, fades, etc etc etc?

And why stop at vocals? Instrumentation and arrangements are manipulated in tons of "unrealistic" ways as well.

Production is an art in itself. I consider is as one of the ingredients, together with the "organic" stuff," in the stew which is the final recordeding.

So far, "he" isn't charged with a crime (only because it's likely he's so incompetent that he actually didn't know his entire staff were covert foreign agents....some have admitted as much when confronted with proof)...what his cabinet is charged with varies but all of them perjured themselves to congress about the crimes, who they work for, who paid them, and who they owe millions... so that's felonious.
Just a few crimes (of many) that the campaign is accused of is working with Russian diplomats for the benefit of Russia and against the interests of the U.S., hiring foreign agents, and hiding tens if not hundreds of millions secretly paid to the managers by Russia.
The campaign managers did directly receive money, all of them it seems, tens of millions...and lied about it over and over. What's more, they have admitted (only after recordings were produced) having subverted government policy by making arrangements with Putin before taking office that were diametrically opposed to the current (at the time) policy...again, that's treason.

In general, I think the 'type of person' that would try to create law to use the police to silence people they disagree with, are the fundamental problem. There's no discussion here. Clinton has played fast and loose with the rules for her own gain, she's gamed the system, she's taken the expedient position far more times than she's taken the good, honorable, or right positions. She's not a very good choice for president.

Donald Trump is bankrupt. He claims to be a great businessman, but in reality it certainly appears he owes more than he has right now. In any case, at the very LEAST, even if you take his own over-inflated assessment of his net worth he'd have been further ahead putting his money in indexed mutual funds than trusting his own business acumen. He'd have been farther ahead still if he'd just held on to all the real estate daddy left him. The best you can say about him, business wise, is that after stiffing contractors for their pay, paying NO taxes for decades, and arranging at least six bankruptcies in such a way that he took minimum damage and his investors bore the brunt.... after all that, he's only BEHIND a few billion dollars from where he'd be if he'd just invested it and left it alone.

On top of that, it certainly appears he's a rapist, or at the very least guilty of sexual assault. He's so weak and afraid he has to constantly bully and puff himself up (this is not how strong people act). He appears to have little to no grasp of international affairs, tax policy, the environment, the economy. Worse still, he doesn't care that he knows nothing and makes no attempt to educate himself.

So... rapist-psychopath-egomaniac-moron, or lady who's a bit shifty. Hmm, tough choice.

There was another computerphile video just on the neural networks used, linked in the description, but I didn't watch it.

The most basic idea is reasonably straightforward - the neural networks are being used to classify images, so there is a low level categoriser for low level things like edges and corners, and then a higher level one that looks for how edges and corners are arranged to make, say, ears... and then a top level one to look for how ears and noses are arranged to make cats.

The complicated bit is that then they run the device backwards, so instead of using it to assign a probability that something is an ear, they actually put the ear in the image even though it wasn't really there to start with.

Since I'm not really saying anything that they didn't, I'm assuming that didn't help?

imo, you are the contents of the hypothetical box though not the box itself. the contents will change over time, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, but it's the contents and the arrangement and the content's history that is "you". there is no single, persistent "you".
