Llama spits TV presenter in the face

ant jokingly says...

>> ^critical_d:

Earlier this summer I took my niece to a local ice cream shop / dairy farm. Aside from the cows and chickens, they had a couple llamas but they may have been alpaca as I am not to familiar with either. Anyways, my niece sees the adorable beasts and we start walking toward the pen were they were kept so we can get a closer look. About 3 feet away from the fence we see a llama stop eating, stand alert, eyes narrowed, and the ears went flat against the head. I stopped in my tracks, took my nieces hand and made a detour to go look at the cows. My niece asks what was wrong and I told her that the llama was getting ready to spit at us. She asked me how I knew this. I told her that I learned this by watching YouTube and seeing people get nailed by the nastiness all because they ignored the warnings. My niece laughed at this and reminded me that I am her favorite uncle but I think the ice cream may have swayed her opinion of me.

/me spits on your face.

It's videos like this that make me want bring more animals into my home. I was thinking the other night it would be a great idea to buy alpacas...then when I sobered up I came to my senses in that alpacas shouldn't live in an apartment, my deck is too small.
and yet we can see you have a pet dinosaur..

Alpaca Wool

>> ^grinter:
yeah, a little better. Try and alpaca teddy bear. I highly recommend them. I think the only thing softer would be sea otter.

Vicuña is softer, I believe. Peruvian camelids, they've never been domesticated. The high price of the wool ($1500-3000/yd) comes from the fact that they live up in the Andes and can only be shorn once every three or four years.
