JAPRI've been trying to avoid songs used as anime themes to try and expose more of a variety of the music that Japanese bands do, but part of it is that sometimes you just let the obvious ones slip right by without even thinking about them.

I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist the other day my first thought was "I bet JAPR already sifted this." I was shocked when I saw you didn't. Glad you liked it, it's my favorite song of theirs.

This is a really good translation on there, just by the way. I fully approve. One of my favorite songs off of their best album, Sol-fa. I hope to try to see them sometime this year.
Analog Fish - Speed
JAPRWell, it's really rather hard to guage the success of any of the indie bands in Japan, but the indie scene is very booming. These guys have done shows with the likes of Sparta Locals and such, so I don't think they're not successful; they're just not mainstream like AKG and such. But yeah. They're good stuff. You should also check out ART-SCHOOL (I queued some other music vids you might like, including one by them).
