Adam Savage: Banned MythBusters Episode on Cannibal Mouse

MilkmanDan says...

My firefox has AdBlock, Noscript, and a cookie blocker, so frequently my paranoid combination of plugins screws up video sources and I paste the URL into IE if I trust the source but don't want to add exceptions. That was the case for this one, but when I went to IE I got a video that made no mention of Adam Savage and just had a dude with a curled mustache talking about advertising revenue bouncing back.

I watched that for a couple minutes thinking that perhaps he would mention Mythbusters, but I don't think that ever happened.

So I guess I'd summarize that into either a dead or WTF nomination.

*edit - Aha, the first backup link actually displayed the proper video. Thanks!

'A dogs breakfast' is an antipodean term for a big ugly mess; like what we give dogs to eat. A live cross is when one live TV presenter hands off to another, like what Stewart and Colbert call The Hand Off.
As for 'weather presenter', all I can do is leave that to the imagination...

aha... Thank you, kind sir. I still had to look up "antipodean", lol

INCREDIBLE video of space shuttle ascent

Disclaimer: I recognize that I know jack-shit about space technology, and that I don't understand how exactly we get information direct from from outerspace installations and etc... but seriously, come on. 30 years and no improvement?

30 years? How about 3000 years of God slacking off. (Forgive me, Lord.) He incites chaos at the Tower of Babel, yet NASA continues to send these blasphemous vehicles into space. This is like a million times closer to Heaven than the tower those heathens built.

But at least It Was Written. If it wasn't written and the authors weren't authenticated within a 0 percent fail rate (because it's 100% Truth, as proven by its existence), our modern minds might not believe a story about a tower made out of pre-industrial material reaching God's palace in the sky. Aha! But our Lord God is much more wise and clever than we puny mortals: He moved Heaven.

So that's like 2 things to be thankful for, in spite of this monstrous affront to our Creator.

(I thought they were all going to die, which is why I upvoted it. Wish I could have my vote back...)

I am familiar with that saying, although I do not hold those sentiments. I will not fight to the death unless it affects me directly. I am very intolerant of religion and have no real respect for it.

Ahhh, the spirit of freedom and liberty is with this one. Are you perhaps familiar with the phrase "I don't share your beliefs but I will fight to the death to defend them"...I would guess not.

Aha! that made me lol. Right there with you. To this day I'm uncomfortable sleeping with my cranium exposed for fear of having my brain eaten during the night.

The crematorium scene with James Karen also gave me wonderful nightmares!

Richard Gage lays out the case for a 9/11 Conspiracy

So to sum up bcglorf
Yes it is to much to ask to investigate because his suggestion sounds crazy.
Regardless of any evidence they bring up to try and say it is suspicious it seems that a lot of people just want to stick their fingers in their ears and go lalalala. Then the second you lay out where that evidence may lead they unplug their ears and go "AHA! See sounds crazy!".
I just think it's odd that people can't accept the smallest possibility of this. Governments have done terrible things to their own people before. Do you people with your fingers in your ears really think all the good guys are in North America and all the bad are in the Middle East? (not saying there aren't bad people in the Middle East mind you).
I think part of it stems from people not wanting to be "that guy". You know, the one that suggests something out of step of what is commonly believed. The ones you ridicule usually. You got no balls.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that his claim is as simple as requesting there be an investigation. You see, there already was an investigation and it is Gage that is ignoring that evidence and calling it suspicious and sticking his fingers in his ears.

Gage isn't even merely asking for a more thorough investigation, he is making his own claim that the 9/11 attacks were a controlled demolition event. Every piece of evidence he and his type have brought forward has been thoroughly debunked. The official story has been accepted as valid by thousands of trained profesionals in relevant fields. For Gage's story to be true, literally thousands of trained engineers and physicists across the country have to be in on the conspiracy. It also requires a massive coverup effort to hide and plant the explosives initially and to subsequently deny the use of them before all the professional witnesses across the country who know better. Sorry, but it is crazy if you follow it right through and truly test the imagined 'evidence' Gage has brought forward.

Can't believe Beck pulled one over on so many people, knowing they'd cut the clip short and that he could come back the next day with some proof of bias in hand. This is why any exaggeration can blow up in your face, even if there's some underlying truth to the exaggeration.
