Mark Hamill is better mostly because as I once saw described in a documentary, most Joker actors do one of two types. Either mostly silly (adam west version) or mostly insane (dark knight) but Hamill was able to blend to the two just about perfectly. An interesting interpretation and not a half bad attempt at an impression.

Batman just isn't the same as the Adam West character of childhood reruns.
