I'm with you. I can't believe the Libs are still talking about WiMax as a suitable alternative to the NBN. I'm a little more hopeful about Tony Abbot torpedoing things before the actual election - even if polls currently have them ahead.

Regardless of her politics, Gillards voice has always grated on me. I hate hearing her speak.

That said, Abbot is a dick and deserves everything he gets.

A calculated political move or not, it is awesome to see Abbot be called out on his track record of demonstrating his horrible views on women and people in general.

I would be very, very sad to see him get into power.

Both of the parties suck at the moment, but Labor sucks less, and is at least aligning themselves with good values. Compared to the Liberal party who outwardly align themselves with horrendous, backwards world views.

I was the same way as a kid. Every boy I ever met was. We all wanted to be pilots, and we all had our favorite planes. Mustang, Spitfire, Corsair, the P-58, etc.

My grandpa was training to be a tail-gunner in a bomber when the war ended, and he gave me some of his old training manuals, and I tell you, I was in heaven. I was holding the real deal in my grubby little mitts. Lost them along the way, but I'm sure you understand.

It's the whole gestalt of the era. The uniforms looked cooler. The Big Band music came and went. The technology was something we could still basically wrap our heads around. Abbot & Costello movies were big.

The reality of it all, especially for Europeans, must have been horrifying, but it's hard to look at that footage and not wish I was there.

Classic. I love Adam. I hate the new format of the show though, how they have an Abbot & Castello style "Double Act" going on, where Morgan gets to be the straight. Adam's a cool guy and shouldn't be made to play the fool all the time.
