You going to CPAC?
Prepare for Covid.
So many got covid from the last two when they denied it was a thing that now you must sign a waiver waiving your rights to sue them if you get Covid and die, and stating that you 100% accept the risk of exposure, contracting, and spreading covid…and include your children in that waiver so when you bring home covid and they die, CPAC isn’t liable.
CPAC, where cons go to share memes and rant now, is SO important it’s worth your children dying or being severely disabled for life, and yourself, and your wife, and your workplace, and your community. That’s the right for ya. “Our right to party outweighs your right to live”.
You must be proud.
Er mer gerd the Elon move is hilarious. Couldn’t stand that Biden’s tweets were more popular so he rewrote the algorithm to force/push his tweets to everyone, followers or not, by bypassing all the filters that personalize recommendations and raising his ranking by a factor of 1000 artificially….because he’s a little baby who can’t stand that he’s not liked! ROTFLMFAHS!!
This has resulted in #blockelon trending.
So much for caring if Twitter plays favorites, right? Doesn’t matter one bit if they favor right wing stupidity, but call a congressional hearing if they follow their own terms of service in favor of a liberal. You people are not serious people, you’re infants.
🤦♂️
Edit: it sounds like Trump was just subpoenaed in criminal court….BY THE PROUD BOYS as a co-conspirator! LOL! Not good for him, they have the pictures and texts from Trump and Co both at the White House Residence (where no one goes without personal invitation from POTUS) and the coup headquarters at the Willard hotel with other administration officials (like Stone, Giuliani, Flynn).
D’oh. Tesla fired dozens of workers who were organizing a union. These were people who code the autopilot system….a system just recalled and badly in need of an update. Multiple deaths and dozens of serious crashes. Not good when unemployment is this low and you’ve already turned off any and all workers by treating them as easily replaceable or worthless.
President Trump’s dance moves go viral
Is anyone surprised Trump is stealing more work product from citizens?
Is anyone surprised he cluelessly chose a gay anthem about wild gay sex at the gym?
Is anyone surprised that, when asked to stop, he not only started using it more but also rewrote it to be about him?
Imagine the vitriol and accusations if Obama had stolen a gay anthem for his campaign.
Stealing from artists should be a disqualifying move, just like being convicted of stealing from veterans and students like Trump was.
Newsreader Loses It On Radio When Reporting Felchers
It was written in an hour. Someone (VP of a media buying service in Chicago) had left an offensive but lame story about a gerbil (no tube, no names, no flames, one person) on my desk in an attempt to irritate. I took that and rewrote to the perverse, offensive wonder above. Only difference between that and my original was the name of the Gerbil.
From when I wrote it in the 80s and placed it on his desk in reply he had to have shared it quite a bit.
Titanfall Gameplay video @ 1440p
I am a graphics coder at Respawn. I understand where the claim of a "decade-old-engine" comes from, but I assure you we entirely rewrote the renderer backend and heavily modified the rest.

I'm not an authorized spokesman so I can't confirm anything that we haven't already talked about publicly, but pretty basic insight confirms what I've said: for example, all modern PCs and consoles use DX11-class GPUs and the "decade-old-engine" you mention only supported DX8 and DX9.
Anyway, I'm really glad you like the game! We've worked hard on it and hope it does well.
Best Argument about Gay Marriage EVAR (Gay Talk Post)
Thank you Jesus!
Chris rewrote his letter with cleaned up language. His reasoning here:
http://blogs.twincities.com/outofbounds/2012/09/08/out-of-bounds-blog-no-8-inquisitive-kitten-pawing-at-yarn/
The letter here (former curse words in all caps):
Dear Emmett C. Burns Jr.,
I find it inconceivable that you are an elected official of the United States government. Your vitriolic hatred and bigotry make me ashamed and disgusted to think that you are in any way responsible for shaping policy at any level. The views you espouse neglect to consider several fundamental key points, which I will outline in great detail (you may want to hire an intern to help you with the longer words):
1. As I suspect you have not read the Constitution, I would like to remind you that the very first, the VERY FIRST Amendment in this founding document deals with the freedom of speech, particularly the abridgment of said freedom. By using your position as an elected official (when referring to your constituents so as to implicitly threaten the Ravens organization) to state that the Ravens should “inhibit such expressions from your employees”, more specifically Brendon Ayanbadejo, not only are you clearly violating the First Amendment, you also come across as a BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE SPARKLEPONY. What on earth would possess you to be so mind-bogglingly stupid? It baffles me that a man such as yourself, a man who relies on that same First Amendment to pursue your own religious studies without fear of persecution from the state, could somehow justify stifling another person’s right to speech. To call that hypocritical would be to do a disservice to the word. SAD PUPPY DOG EYES hypocritical starts to approach it a little bit.
2. “Many of your fans are opposed to such a view and feel it has no place in a sport that is strictly for pride, entertainment, and excitement.” DISAPPOINTED LEMUR FACE WITH SOLITARY TEAR TRICKLING DOWN TO CHIN. Did you seriously just say that, as someone who’s “deeply involved in government task forces on the legacy of slavery in Maryland”? Have you not heard of Kenny Washington? Jackie Robinson? As recently as 1962 the NFL still had segregation, which was only done away with by brave athletes and coaches daring to speak their mind and do the right thing, and you’re going to say that political views have “no place in a sport”? I can’t even begin to fathom the cognitive dissonance that must be coursing through your rapidly addled mind right now; the mental gymnastics your brain has to tortuously contort itself through to make such a preposterous statement are surely worthy of an Olympic gold medal (the Russian judge gives you a ten for “beautiful oppressionism”).
3. This is more a personal quibble of mine, but why do you hate freedom? Why do you hate the fact that other people want a chance to live their lives and be happy, even though they may believe in something different than you, or act different than you? How does gay marriage, in any way shape or form, affect your life? If gay marriage becomes legal, are you worried that all of a sudden you’ll start thinking about DANCING CHUBTOAD? “ALACK AND ALAS MY TOP HAT HAS FALLEN. Gay marriage just passed. Gotta get me some of that DELICIOUS STATE FAIR HOTDOG!” Will all of your friends suddenly turn gay and refuse to come to your Sunday Ticket grill-outs? (unlikely, gay people enjoy watching football too)
I can assure you that gay people getting married will have zero affect on your life. They won’t come into your house and steal your children. They won’t magically turn you into a lustful FROLICKING OSTRICH. They won’t even overthrow the government in an orgy of hedonistic debauchery because all of a sudden they have the same legal rights as the other 90% of our population, rights like Social Security benefits, child care tax credits, Family and Medical Leave to take care of loved ones, and COBRA healthcare for spouses and children. You know what having these rights will make gays? Full fledged American citizens just like everyone else, with the freedom to pursue happiness and all that entails. Do the civil rights struggles of the past 200 years mean absolutely nothing to you?
In closing, I would like to say that I hope this letter, in some small way, causes you to reflect upon the magnitude of the colossal foot in mouth SLIDE WHISTLE TO E FLAT you so brazenly unleashed on a man whose only crime was speaking out for something he believed in. Best of luck in the next election; I’m fairly certain you might need it.
Sincerely,
Chris Kluwe
p.s. I’ve also been vocal as hell about the issue of gay marriage so you can take your “I know of no other NFL player who has done what Mr. Ayanbadejo is doing” and shove it in your close-minded, totally lacking in empathy piehole and choke on it. UNFORTUNATELY PHALLIC HEDGE SCULPTURE.
Watch Rick Perry's Campaign End Before Your Eyes
@NetRunner
I'm genuinely surprised you would think the left has "lost" over the decades, especially after petty tyrant FDR rewrote the US Constitution, distorting the commerce clause to mean government can do anything it wants.
Then again, Jefferson said, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground," and that's EXACTLY what's happened. If Democrats create all of this big government (e.g. like Nixon creating the EPA) and Repubs do nothing to dismantle it and in fact vote to fund it, then effectively both sides are Democrats.
Don't you see? You've WON!
We are a few beats away from becoming a socialist outhouse like Europe. It's nice to declare that everything is "free" by birthright (and great for the politicians that promise it) EXCEPT when there are no more productive souls to pay for the phantasy. GREECE is the word.

>>.
To me the worst part about a lot of right-wing assumptions about the left is that they assume we're their mirror image, and project their hostility, dishonesty, ruthlessness, and groupthink onto us.
The truth is, as a group we're too nice, too honest, too forgiving, and too independent, which is why the right ends up eating our lunch so often.
Oh yeah, and they deny that they've ever eaten our lunch. They insist on pretending to be some sort of oppressed underdog, even though they've been effectively running the show for as long as I've been alive.
How the Middle Class Got Screwed
>> ^ChaosEngine:
cue free market apologists in 5..4...3..2..1....
What you imply is that the free market rewrote the laws to favor giant corporations? That the common middle class man paid millions of dollars to lobby in the Capitol for laws which effectively enforce industry monopolies?
The Free Market barely even gets a place in the debate, due to the simple fact that it was circumvented by corrupt politicians long before it would have made any difference. "Freedom" requires that the law treats us all equally, and that freedom disappeared the moment politicians decided to use their positions to profiteer. (i.e. The second they got into office, for most of them.)
The "Free Market" is an ideal... one that has never held any real place in economics, except in the wistful dreams of poets and Presidential candidates.
Natural Born Killers - The Weirdest Deleted Scene
i thought oliver stone rewrote tarantinos screenplay to such an extent that quentin totally refused to take any credit for the movies screenplay?
meh...maybe that was just an article in people magazine....
Freedom Go To Hell
>> ^Farhad2000:
reflexive straw-man construction as a psychological defense mechanism
He never said all muslims are the same, or anything remotely like that. But the moderate or liberal muslims do contradict some of the more hard-line parts of the Koran. Jihadists contradict some of the more liberal parts of the Koran as well. There's no denying the fact that the Koran is as bloody and misogynistic as the Bible. Mohammad was just another conqueror who rewrote mythology to his advantage like the Roman emperors often did.
As Thomas Jefferson said, picking out the genuine and good teachings of Jesus from the bible is like "diamonds in a dunghill".
TED 2009 - A Different Way To Think About Creative Genius
You know, I'm normally a huge fan of these TED talks, but this idea, I am not a fan off.
Ok, I rewrote this second paragraph about a dozen times trying to phrase exactly what bothered me about it, and I've cooled down a bit. At first I thought her idea was that people should believe in supernatural process as a means to relieve stress. I think now that her idea is a little more subtle than that. She is basically saying, pretend this supernatural process exists, allow it to exist in your imagination, and it can relieve stress. She isn't saying that you should actually believe it to be true. It's like a game. A game that relieves stress.
So I take it back. It is not a bad idea.
Principles of economics, translated
Okay I wrote it once, then edited, then deleted and rewrote it. I wanted to add something else but when I came back it said JoeDirt posted. I fell in into a M.C. Esher daze but soon recovered...
I want to clarify further and add something to what Theo47 said, Economics is a science, it's the science and study of finite resources in a world of infinite wants. I think you forget that both science and faith have been corrupted countless times to carry out political agendas. I mean the entire theory of German nazi superiority was professed by using scientific methods to measure skulls and such to prove racial inferiority. Is science thus inherently evil? One can take that stance by saying it lead to atomic weapons and such... but we know to look beyond that for science is the pursuit of truth and doesn't carry an idealogical stance.
Economics doesn't carry a capitalistic agenda like you seem to think, it is the methodology to study finite resource allocation. Capitalism, socialism, all these ways of looking at the markets factor in. Just because Milton Friedman professes one stance and you happened to have read him doesn't meant he stands for the entirety of the economic field. Social good, external costs to enviroment all feature in economics. It's not the fault of this academic field of study for the corporate stance that profits should be pursued at all costs to the enviroment and it's own consumer base, when any long term assessment would show that unnatural profits are a impossibility in reality. But people are greedy.
The 'Sift on Wikipedia (Sift Talk Post)
I'm sorry, but I honestly didn't mean it in a "frustrated and stroppy" kind of way. I just felt a little agitated because I created the entry, and Krupo and Farhad completely rewrote it (not that what I had written was better, by any means). I just would have liked to be consulted to help write the entry, seeing as I started it. I know it sounds extremely childish to "claim" an entry as though I own it, but I would've appreciated it if Farhad and Krupo asked me to help them write the entry.
The amazingly flexible Kristina Kireeva
I've seen her before on this website. I heard she rewrote the Kama Sutra and added over 1600 new pages.

In response to therealblankman, Army drill instructors reduced the severity of their treatment of troops due to complaints and the desire of the army to reach a lower drop out rate from the dwindling volunteers that are coming in.
It is my stern belief however that the military is not a game and thus it should be as sever as possible because ultimately training must become instinct based for the soldier. And there is nothing more impressionable then R. Lee Ermey.
To add to the trivia, R. Lee Ermey actually went and rewrote the Drill sargent part because he did not think it was realistic.
