Well, in that case, here is an MI5 whistleblower's very eloquent attempt to ruin your mood for the day. And here an artist makes secrecy visible, including rendition flights, spy satellites, the works -- very entertaining.

Oh I am highly interested in this stuff. I watched most of the Tor vid the other day on YouTube and was going to post it but you beat me to it. To me this is more important than any other issue out there(besides "The War on Terror" and the drones). The masses should turn off their idiot boxes and their talking heads on the radio and be more concerned about this. Thanks for the info sir!

Intellectual Cripple Owned by Common-Sense Semantic

Hair should upset you, it should upset anyone who sees some poor schlep with some doo that looks as if no one they know or cares about 'em has seen the abomination and suggested another rendition. Some folks should simply stop trying with their own hair and shave completely or try some new wigs-This goes double for news-bobbles.

Lady Gaga Goes Nude On Video!

chingalera says...

Pretension ain't genius and Gaga's output rates mediocre at best.
Again, Trey Parker's voice adjusted to Cartman frequency produces a more pleasing rendition of "Poker Face" than the original artist formerly known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, who as far as I can tell is a little full-of-herself, Sicilian/Canadian narcissist whose upper west side Manhattan upbringing has spilled-over into her horrible taste and run-of-the-mill musical offerings.

Her wiki page touts her many self-labeled endeavors, all of which appeal to her sense of self as the center of the universe.

She's a hag.

Well I've watched it...both Lady Gaga and Marina are weird. They both seem very interesting, I will never tolerate anyone who calls either one a Genius though. Those that do are ignorant, being creative and inquisitive does not equal genius.

Bible Slavery: It's A Totally Different Thing!!

chingalera says...

Not so, slavery in the U.S. was historically unique in it's brutality and scope and the descendants of slaves live in another form of subjugation under the guise of rights under the law and equality. The system in place now insures that black people in the U.S. will be treated to inordinate scrutiny as citizens and extraordinary rendition in the form of profiling, imprisonment both physically or economically, and an unsurpassed recidivism in the Petri dish of criminals which is, the U.S. Prison Corporation, ltd., which only serves to justify more prisons to warehouse undesirables.

Except for perhaps Chinese dynasties during the construction of the wall other examples of slavery in history, even biblical slavery...Rome, Greece, these societies did not treat their slaves to the hopelessness we in America treated the Africans to.

If you consider slavery 'wrong' you might want to look at how well maintained your own existence has become-Slavery has simply become your indentured duty to invisible masters as you pay-to-play the game of life.
The slave masters of today do not carry whips or pistols but he still works you for long, unending hours and enjoys the fruits of your labor at day's end.

About 4 minutes was just repeat and trying to come to a punchline that we all realised.. and then it never came.

To Chingalera: Slaves are slaves, it is and always has been wrong no matter how well you treat them. The point of this story is not slavery but inequality that's inherit in the Old Testament and it's many stories.. Men were not created to be equal, according to bible but simply who ever told the story was superior and had Gods given rights to be superior, no matter what they did to other tribes, it was justified. Kind of like.. well.. christian countries do: be equal and fair towards the people inside your country.

Oh man, that is way cool!

Yeah, the Watchmen movie is a point of contention with fans. But I'm of the mind that a rendition of any property doesn't ruin it. If I loved the original trilogy of Star Wars, for instance, then the new trilogy doesn't change that, you know?

I really liked the Watchmen movie because I never thought it would live up to the integrity of the original comic miniseries. But then after watching the Ultimate Cut, it's a fairly accurate cut. It's pretty great, actually. In my opinion, at least.

I thought the Watchmen movie was competent rather than inspired. In fact, I thought the most original clever part of the movie was the opening credits.

It wasn't bad, but there was just no way it could handle the sheer depth of the comic. To be fair, I haven't seen the ultimate cut though, but well... I went with a few friends who hadn't read the comic, and they came out wondering why I had made such a big deal of going to see it. Then I loaned them the comic and they understood....

I really think the only way the movie could have been truly great would be to get someone with their own vision and go at it from a different angle. Terry Gilliam would have been interesting. It probably would have failed, but it'd have failed gloriously.

Laws apply to the geographical area in which the establishing state has domain.
The constitution is a set of laws.

If you are inside the bounds of the U.S. and/or its territories, all U.S. laws apply.
(Unless the laws themselves say 'does not apply to <group X>').

All persons outside the bounds of the U.S. are not covered by U.S. law.
(Hence why extraordinary rendition is so useful to the U.S. government - it's a way to avoid U.S. laws.)

Ok ant, that was a joke! So, I am gonna up vote this viddy on-accounta I learned a new word (HOON- gotta love it as an onomatopoeia) and I have never seen a POV viddy of a car being driven into a pond before, not-counting Hollywood renditions...

My own hoon stories could fill a small journal. One of my favs was the assassination of a Datsun B-210 with RPM, then shotguns-The poor car lurched struggling to a stop, belching oil and smoke as we double-tapped the engine block with slugs Fun-time, victimless country hooliganism-

I love poignant, beautifully structured, meaningful, and heart felt musical renditions. Which is probably why i think this trite, syrup laden dirge is AWFUL. Jeez, it's just a semitone off parody.
