Caine's Arcade - Best Kids Arcade Story Ever
Funny,
I did the exact same thing, with wood planks, elastic bands and laundry pins.

I used to make little "pinball" machines at his age, with box-tops, elastics, pencils and marbles. But this kid is an imagination god!
Caine's Arcade - Best Kids Arcade Story Ever
I did the same thing with a classmate around 2nd grade. We made "computer games" by drawing on cards and taping them to the "screen" and then trading them. Can't figure out why no one else wanted in on that action. What's so great about kick ball anyway?>> ^ant:

When I was in fourth grade, I made a computer out of cardboard. It was based on my real Apple //c.

When I was in fourth grade for a class project, I made a computer out of cardboard with scrollable screen with a wheel or something. It was based on my real Apple //c.

You're welcome. Thanks for freeing my Kaolin vid, too
As you can see, there is currently a 6 month delay between me putting a video on my list of ones to promote and then getting to it File that under "better late than never".
You're only one vid away from bronze, too.
p.s. Is this your lego marble run one?

Thank you for promoting the Powaqqatsi clip I submitted. It's a great piece; I only wish I could have been at the concert! Anyway, thanks again, it's nice to see it published.

After Hours: If you could have dinner with any famous figure
>> ^GenjiKilpatrick:
lamest one yet.
like they just needed a filler episode 'til they got a decent idea.
I agree they have been weak as of late, or maybe the shtick has just gotten tired, but I still find them amusing for now.
If Jenna Marbles can consistently hit the top 15, then this should at least be siftable.
Periodic Table Of Videos - Most Interesting Metal For Rings
>> ^Porksandwich:
Well I think I'd pick a ring that could at least be cut off if needed. Although that mercury ring would be neat....
Personally I think if you could get the various metals to stay together, I wouldn't mind seeing varying shades of steel, titanium, gold, copper, and platinum made into a neat pattern. Kind of a mix and match but all one loop, not inlays or anything like that. Like how marbles are made, especially gold lutz marbles.
It'd certainly be unique, I doubt any one band would be the same if they could manage to get them to be solid enough to stay together on someone's finger in a not-to-big loop.
Cool idea. Start with the four metals as wires and then twist them into a spiral and then forge them into a cylinder.

Remember when Hitchens got into trouble for saying that women aren't funny?
These two are not proving him wrong.
Crap in a hat, I upvoted your comment only to realise there was a "not" in it. I think Harto is pretty funny, and Jenna can be too. But there are way funnier women, that's for sure.
Agreed. I thought CommunityChannels response to racism was hilarious and as a general rule I find Tina Fey really funny.
But Jenna was just irritating and Harto just fell flat, even though I thought the concept had potential. It's the Saturday night live effect. The gulf between "almost funny" (most of their sketches) and truly funny (a few moments of genius, like Fey's Palin) is vast.
Controversial as it was, I do believe there's a grain of truth in Hitchens article.
