(And he suggested investing a large portion of the treasury into cryptocurrency because it would be great if American just lost half its monetary value in a single day in an unregulated market…as long as the felon makes money).

At the same time, republicans are holding California disaster aid hostage until they get a $4 TRILLION raise in the debt ceiling for this year, which they will need to do again by summer because we all know the debt is about to skyrocket by >30% a year….because fiscal conservancy means spend as much as humanly possible all on credit.

I have a good story for that comment.
My wife and I went to Iceland (I went to a formula offroad event while there!) a while back, and one B&B host told us that for years they sent videos of Formula Offroad to SkyTV (the European version of ESPN) with no response. Eventually they got through to someone to ask why, and were told “SkyTV doesn’t broadcast remote control cars”….yes, for over a decade they assumed no human would drive like that and it must be RC cars! When they proved it was real full size cars with real live drivers, it was immediately put on air and has been popular ever since.
Good stuff.

Desantis caught committing forgery and extortion to fake a letter from the AG threatening arrest of employees of tv stations that broadcast an anti anti choice ad exposing the dangers of his total abortion ban.
The AG quit when the governor tried to force him to do it again and told him to hire outside council (spending millions of taxpayer dollars) to prosecute stations based on this letter the governor wrote and signed the AGs name to that ignores the first amendment completely.
A Florida Supreme Court justice telling DeSantis clearly “it’s the first amendment, stupid.” meant absolutely nothing because the second letter and hiring of private law firms to prosecute cases for exercising the first amendment came AFTER the justice rebuked him and the state for this fascist, anti constitutional censorship by a governor.
